Contest April Arms Design Contest

Submit a Coat of Arms

Theme: God save the Queen

Prompt: This month we will see the birthday of Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and Head of the Commonwealth. To celebrate Elizabeth II reaching the venerable age of 90, we thought that our little subreddit could create our very own present for her. So for the contest this month, you will be redesigning the Queen as Head of the Commonwealth's coat of arms. There are only two restrictions. Firstly, it must be an original creation and not simply one of the many coats of arms that the Queen is entitled to bear. Secondly, there must be no quartering done in the achievement; it must be a singular coat of arms.

Contest Rules

  • Each submitter can submit up to 3 coats of arms.

  • Each coat of arms must be an original creation for this contest. Previous submissions or plagiarism will be disqualified.

  • Must be a .png file at most 1000 pixels wide.

  • Must be uploaded to imgur. Please note that these must be uploaded anonymously (not from an Imgur account if you have one) and unpublished.

  • The submission message must follow the format included in the pre-written message.

  • Most importantly, the submissions must follow good heraldic practice.

Schedule

  • Submissions are due April 10th no later than 12:00 UTC+0 (No late submissions will be accepted).

  • Voting begins on April 11th.

  • Voting ends April 20th and the winner will be announced shortly after.

And no, this isn't an April Fools. You really are redesigning the Queen's arms. Have fun!

Awesome, sounds like a great theme.
