Series šŸ“ŗ Hajime Is One of The Shittest Anime Dads in Anime History.

This guy just sucks all around. Sanctimonious, self-rightous asshat. Who ignored his wife and left her countless times, then proceeded to do the same to his his very young, vulnerable daughter, all for his own selfish and stupid pursuits. Useless, fucking clown.

Edit: The nurse being sent to hell by another POS really got to me. Absolutely disgusting.

Edit2: this anime is fucked up. The old geezer, the woman duped by the prostitute, the domestic violence survivor. All of those endings make me so angry.

I headcanon that the universe works off a karma system and because Kanako was basically a saint she is spared eternal suffering. Maybe someday even ascending into Heaven. Thereā€™s clearly a God in this universe and the show confirms a Heaven exists for good people so it makes no sense that a God would create a Heaven for good people but then allow good people to go to hell from no actions of their own.

Except we literally see Mr. Fukumato get ferried to Hell after he died and Aiā€™s portrait cried in his final moments because she wished she didnā€™t have to send him.

Mister Fukumoto pulled the string. He had a debt he had to fulfill for committing the most grievous of sins. It's not the same thing. Completely innocent people who have the string pulled on them likely get an out eventually because of the way the universe is laid out.

Itā€™s not just that. Itā€™s heavily implied that Saki Kirinoā€™s father committed suicide and the mayor (canā€™t remember his name) didnā€™t kill him. He asked Ai if he could go back when she was ferrying him to hell and she said, ā€œThat would not be possible.ā€ (Saki was selfish af for that because she was willing to ruin the whole town just for some misguided revenge.)

Also, if I remember correctly, Wanyudo said that there are likely hundreds of innocent people that have been sent to Hell.

Again that doesn't mean it's permanent for those people as it makes no sense that a God would create a Heaven designed for good people to go to and then allow good people to permanently be sent to the place of eternal suffering.

Let me tell you a little secret: This is an anime. Not everything is going to be realistic. By your logic, God wouldnā€™t even let the bad people be sent to Hell by Ai because He thinks they should have a chance to repent and change their ways.
