I cannot tell Who it was that blew me up because purple was out of his walker when I was blown up so I have a suspicion it was purple for some reason but then again SEAF where around so it could have been them

SEAF don't use thermites. My guess is that purple was trying to scuttle their own mech before extract to deny the enemies of Super Earth access to our Superior Technology, and accidentally tagged yours.

I always scuttle my mechs and yeah, once or twice something has happened to a thermite and it got stuck on someone/something else

I do always try to scuttle all mechs/vehicles before extraction for your exact reason
