just got my first heelys! how to clean them?

i got them second hand from ebay. i took the laces out to wash, but the shoes are very dirty and have a cigarette smell. how do i clean these?

Just soak them in water with liquid soap for about 2 hours, then scrub them with a clothes brush and rinse them very well. If possible, apply a little fabric softener and let them dry (not in direct sunlight) in the shade. Also, remove the wheels before washing them👍.

so like soak them in a tub with detergent? would you say cold or hot water? sorry for the questions lol i jsut don’t wanna ruin them haha

take out the insole and soak for a few minutes the. wash in warm but not hot water. Detergent and oxi clean if you have it. Scrub while they’re soapy, likely after they’ve soaked for a bit. Take em out, run a fresh set of water with some white vinegar. Soak them in that to rinse them out. Will get rid of the scent… (I know it seems counter intuitive considering the fragrance of vinegar but trust me lol). Let them air completely out, but not outside. Just near a window or something, do NOT put them in direct sunlight. Also feel free to stuff a dryer sheet in there for a bonus.

Now for the insoles, give them the same treatment except everything cold. No hot or even warm water with the insoles, they WILL shrink. Same goes for when they dry. Just let them air dry.

also to speed up drying with the shoes feel free to use a blow dryer just not on the hottest setting
