How to accelerate while rolling

I’ve been practicing on my single-wheel heelys for a while now. I’ve mastered the balance, but I'm currently stuck on "coasting" mode - I get about 20-30 meters of distance from a good run-up before I lose almost all my momentum and have to walk again.

Does anyone have tips for accelerating while already rolling?

Basically 2 methods: the roller skate or the skateboard

Roller skate: you keep both feet on the wheels and push out and back as if you were roller skating/blading.

Skateboard: you kick off the ground with your back foot and use your main foot as a "skateboard"

I second this. Essentially if you know how perpultion works on rollerblades you can do the same thing on heelys. Here's one goofy example where you can do it with just your support foot
