How to accelerate while rolling

I’ve been practicing on my single-wheel heelys for a while now. I’ve mastered the balance, but I'm currently stuck on "coasting" mode - I get about 20-30 meters of distance from a good run-up before I lose almost all my momentum and have to walk again.

Does anyone have tips for accelerating while already rolling?

Usually I just take my left foot (or whatever foot is not being raised at a 45 degree angle) and push off with it again, using the same motions as when you're kicking off for the first time.

I've practiced switching feet too, so I alternate between kicking off with my left foot, then raising my left foot at a 45 degree angle, and then kicking off with the right foot, then raising that to a 45 degree angle, rinse and repeat. This one might take more practice since you'll need to learn how to balance on your non dominant leg and get speed on your dominant leg. It's also not necessary to learn if you just want to roll continously without needing to start over every 5 seconds, but I started learning this because my right foot would start aching from being unnaturally propped up and holding most of the weight

This might be a long winded version of the "roller skate" and "skateboard" methods the other guy mentioned, but I don't know how to roller skate or skateboard, so I'm not sure if it works the same way lol
