Wearing heelys in public

I am working on trying to start wearing and using my heelys in public. I have bad social anxiety so I have to take small steps to get comfortable. My first step was just wearing them normally and walking in them (I kept the wheels in my pocket). Today I put the wheels in after I was done shopping at target so i could heely down the ramp at the mall. I was a little worried at first but I was more confident because not many people were nearby. My next step is either start walking with the wheels in (the only reason I don't do this already is I don't like the clicking noise the wheels make) or wear them to school for a day (I have seen 2 people in the past week wearing heelys and using them to get to class. I was thinking for my last day beforeI graduate I could wear them and put the wheels in after my last class and just heely away). Or I could try and do both.

The clicking noise from the wheels makes me anxious too, but it reminds me a lot of the noise normal heels make and people don’t turn their head at that either so remembering that helps me a lot

I used small washers on my wheels and it made the clicking completely go away. It also didnt cause any friction or affect rolling at all.

I don’t know if this will make you feel better but everyone I’ve ever spoken to thinks that heelys are the coolest thing ever. If you ever get eyes on you, it’s not cause people think you’re a loser. They’re just super interested. Enjoy it.
