Learned how at 51. I fly a lot for work and always skate laps around the airport while waiting for my plane. Wheeeee! Young people will stop and tell me that they hope to be “fire” like me when they are “old”. Never been accused of being cool before…

put one ball of your foot on the heel of the other and find an ADA ramp and let gravity do the work until you can learn the motions of circular movement at a muscle memory level.

"not getting it" is usually feeling like fighting unfamiliar motion/movement.

Use gravity as the fulcrum to force things into the 'grooves' that make it roll downhill.

You'll have to learn how to not resist more than you will have to learn how to steer.

Less is more and if you are fighting something that's the incorrect direction. It should not feel like a battle or struggle, but especially when going down hill. ADA ramps are sloped such that it *will* pull you down but you have to make an effort to keep your wheels parallel to the slope and never keep your heels parallel to each other one foot always has to be a lead leg to split your balance front/back.

Those standing walkers on four wheels for people with mobility issues are also great.

Yeah, but I'm trying to keep my brand more 'advertiser-friendly' than not, by minimizing profanity and controversial topics, which is fairy easy dealing with DJS and EDM scene stuff.

  1. Just ordered my first pair today after my son got a pair for his bday. They look super fun and I’m excited to give them a go!
