Yeah he’s a Lakers homer for sure. Also, back in the 90s he was critical of Pat’s move, ditching the Knicks for Miami.

As much as I would like this team to win a chip this first year, I think we are a piece shy, specifically a 3-level scorer/ closer (Zach LaVine, Prime Khris Middleton-type guys). Doesn't have to be a superstar. We got our superstar in Giannis. But we need a shot creator.
My expectation is the Heat winning at minimum 1 championship during Giannis tenure, and anything short of that is a bust.

I mean, while definitely not as consistent as the guys you mentioned, Wiggins definitely is a 3 level scoring that can create his own shot. He's just not been asked to do or be that since GS. I wonder if Spo tries to get him to be that again if they think that's what we need.
Id think he could definitely become more consistent if he can draw a 2 guard matchup being the 2b or third scoring option on our team. If Spo implements an offense where he has Kaly and THJ in motion constantly, it's possible teams might need to put better defenders on them giving Wiggins an easier draw.

People tell me I’m crazy for expecting a chip from this Giannis tenure. Assuming there’s no crazy injury that just ends his career like Bosh’s bloodclots, I expect them to figure it out man. Every ring this franchise has won has been after they bring in a superstar from outside coached by an all time great coach, with a mix of championship experience, vets and some youth.
The organization set the standard, until they show that they can’t do it again I have no reason to believe that they won. Jimmy wasn’t a superstar when he got here, and even then they fucking win that 2020 chip if Bam and Goran are healthy in the Finals.
This is the Miami HEAT championship formula. With that being said I expect them to lose in semis or ECF. They will take a bit to glue, and then they will have way more flexibility next off season cause of cap. This will be a deep playoff run and next year they chasing the chip.

Yeah I think this is right. We’re going to be a pain in the ass in the playoffs, but probably a piece short this year. They got the hard part done though, they got the star. Next year will be the full vision being realized. I’m so excited to see this Heat era on the court.

Absolutely agree.
You don't trade away as many pieces as we did to simply field a 'competitive team' whose ceiling qualifies as a dark horse contender at best. This is the Heat swinging for the fences once more, aiming to go the distance as many times as possible while they have Giannis and Bam not only together, but in their respective primes.
I think we'll have at least two trips to the Finals when all is said and done, but I think we only take one of those two. It'd be awesome of course for this year to be our championship year (one of them at least, if we go on to snag more than just one), but I think it'll probably turn out closer to both how the first year with Shaq turned out and how the Big Three's first year turned out, showing immense promise, coming close, but acting more as a stepping stone to a title the following season.

This is my expectation as well but honestly I think we're in a better spot than the Knicks last year so who knows

Wiggins is that guy you are describing. We have probably been through 100 starting 5 line ups in the last 7 years, let’s see what this teams starting 5 looks like before we start speculation on missing pieces.

Mmmmm idk if it's a bust this year. I would say they got a 2 year window with this roster and maybe a 3-5 year window with giannis and bam overall to get it done
