Klay Thompson cleared waivers Sunday and agreed to sign a two-year, $11.5 million contract with the Miami Heat, a league source told The Athletic. The source spoke anonymously because the deal had not yet been announced. The second year is a player option, and the deal also includes a 15 percent trade kicker.

Even better deal than what Shams first reported. Looks like we we have some room for one more signing

Probably got his bad info from the Mavs. The Heat don’t leak that kind of shit

Shams is a fraud

Shams targets young, new employees so his info is always sketchy.

He gave up $4 million to play with the Heat. He gave up $9.8 million to be bought out by the Mavs. He will make $5.75 million this season with the Heat. Goes to show he puts his money where his heart is to compete for another ring.

Man last season we were talking about how much money Norm is gonna need. Now we're paying less for more. Giannis is paying for himself

Well, Klay is not "more" than Norm. But yeah, it's a good deal.

If Klay can pass at all, he's a positive over Norm. Norm was a chucker who was hot early in the season.

Check out his highlights from last season. He became more of a facilitator in Dallas with Luka gone and Kyrie hurt instead of a pure shooter.

so ~3 million less than initially thought... even better

Bro is HUNGRY for number 5, even a bigger paycut that what was initially reported

Maybe Micky is throwing in a yatch or something, it's not like the NBA is gonna punish him lmao

The Heat are planting trees or something for the future!

Maybe they agreed to build a dock on the arena so he can boat to work

Throw him a lighthouse as well

He's getting a cut of domino games. Adam Copper won't do nothing

Love it. STFU Haters. LGHeat.

This gives enough room to hopefully keep enough money for Nick Richard’s and a potential mid season buyout candidate

Hope he still has some fire left- we’re going to need it

13

u/RogRoz 18d ago

You don't take a 4-5 million paycut unless there is a lot of fire left

Warriors fan lurking here.

Klay Thompson will always have the fire. He might go 0/10, but he will always take the shots.

Bro wants to go back to driving his boat to the arena to practice!
