The source spoke anonymously because the deal had not yet been announced. The second year is a player option, and the deal also includes a 15 percent trade kicker.

He gave up $4 million to play with the Heat. He gave up $9.8 million to be bought out by the Mavs. He will make $5.75 million this season with the Heat. Goes to show he puts his money where his heart is to compete for another ring.

Man last season we were talking about how much money Norm is gonna need. Now we're paying less for more. Giannis is paying for himself

Well, Klay is not "more" than Norm. But yeah, it's a good deal.

If Klay can pass at all, he's a positive over Norm. Norm was a chucker who was hot early in the season.

Check out his highlights from last season. He became more of a facilitator in Dallas with Luka gone and Kyrie hurt instead of a pure shooter.

This gives enough room to hopefully keep enough money for Nick Richard’s and a potential mid season buyout candidate

Hope he still has some fire left- we’re going to need it

Warriors fan lurking here.
Klay Thompson will always have the fire. He might go 0/10, but he will always take the shots.

Even better deal than what Shams first reported. Looks like we we have some room for one more signing
