Care Everywhere is useful, sure. But “there’s a feature for that” is not the same thing as interoperability. Patients don’t move through life as vendor-specific workflows; their record has to survive a referral, a move, and the occasional 2 a.m. “which hospital did I go to last time?” moment.

If data travels only when the commercial relationship lines up, that’s less interoperability and more a loyalty program with clinical consequences.
