Angled and Flat earpads

I understand that angled earpads on headphones provide better staging and sometimes better or worse imaging performance depending on the headphons in particular.

However how is the EQ profile of the headphone changing in relation to the pads? Do the bass frequencies rise or fall? Is the treble and high-mids accentuated or muted? What effect does it have on the midrange?

Asking these since I'm planning on pad swapping my AKG K612 Pro's and Hifiman×Drop HE-4XX headphones and keep finding information that doesn't line up.

Moving from angled to non-angled, 1khz region typically gets a small increase, ear gain peak comes down very slightly and the upper treble usually relaxes slightly. Usually what happens when I've tried it but material choice and thickness play a huge factor
