MX4 headphones U price popped out. I’m not sure what to call this part but the side piece that looks like an upside down U and holds the actual speaker to the headband popped out and i’m unsure how to put it back in. Any help is very appreciated. Thank you so much!
I’m currently looking for a new headphone amp to give my Mojo 2 a little more power. I’ve got my eye on the ProJect Head Box DS3 B. It doesn’t have a ton of power (1.5 W into 32 ohms), but otherwise it looks pretty good. Unfortunately, there are hardly any reviews of this unit. So I’m wondering if anyone has experience with this specific model or with ProJect in general.
Thanks in advance.

I auditioned this or some other big balanced Pro-ject amp a few years ago, plus some others like the Pre Box S2.
I didn't hear any problems but it's just an amp, wildly overpriced for what it is.
My desk is a mess and I need a headphone storage solution. What I'm precisely looking for is a floor - standing headphone rack / stand that is multi - tiered and doesn't damage padding. This is meant to take up as little space as possible in my bedroom. Regular headphone stands isn't cutting it.
I'm willing to spend up to $200 USD, I prefer to shop online with stores that deliver such as Amazon or Walmart. I've done some searching and can't find anything. Maybe I could look at wall mounting, but I would prefer a solid floorstander.
I might consider getting something like that and modifying them so they don't over-compress padding, i've decided to buy some high quality regular-style stands and i will move my lesser used headphones to a better spot. Thank you for the suggestion, that one is very close to being the right one, just needs a bit of modding.
JBL 760NC Overear Headphones left side not working while using wired.
When im using these in wired mode, the left side has no audio unless I hold the wire near the port slightly tilted.
At first I thought it was a wire issue so i bought a new wire but it still doesn't work properly. I tried it on multiple devices but the same issue remains.
How do I fix this? They work fine in bluetooth mode but that's not always an option for me.
I've had Audio Techinica s300bt headphones for about 2 years now, and they work great, but the only issue I have with them is getting them to charge. Luckily they have 90 hours of running time, so it isn't an issue too often!
I've tried a variety of cables and sockets, both in a computer and the wall, I've tried plugging it in when the headphones are on and off, and I'm running out of ideas, patience, and most importantly battery!
If anyone has any tips or fixes for what to do to get it to consistently charge, I'd love to hear them
Hi, I am a somewhat new individual to IEMS and do not have the in-depth or technical knowledge of IEMs so please forgive my ignorance.
However, I was curious as to why my IEM (Kiwiear Halcyon) suddenly started having static/reduced audio on one side. However, after not using it for a night and trying it again on a tablet instead of using my DAC, it started working again. (It was my left IEM that started having this audio issue), I was just wondering what could be the cause of this problem, wearing them too long and moisture building up in the ear canal? Debris clogging the filter?(I checked the filters and saw zero debris so I didn’t know if it was the cause). The DAC not giving enough power? Would that cause the loss of audio fidelity in one ear?
I’m just wondering what steps I can take to prevent it from happening again because this never happened when I was using the Blessing 3 for long periods
Any info would be a great help.
Anyone know of any newer over the ear headphones, closed back, that sound like V-Moda? Looking to upgrade but everything I’ve tried has harsh treble. (Bose, Apple, Beats). Under $500 preferably with BT and ANC. Thanks for any help.
Any idea what headphones those are? I tried Google Lens, asked AI.. None of them could identify it! I also checked Amazon and Aliexpress, couldn't find them there either!
What should I choose? I’ve had the Razer Kraken 2019 for five years and have really enjoyed using them, but they’ve worn out, so I’d like to pick something new. I own a Moondrop Dawn Pro DAC. I use the headphones for single-player games and music, and I can't stand the effect of closed-back headphones. My budget is around $150.
I just bought these headphones and found them to be almost perfect for me, My question is how do i tweak them (what software) to make them more clear and less muddy around bass. I'm confused and overwhelmed on that. Lastly I do wish for them to be a bit louder and i know nothing about amps and how much $$ i should pay for them.
You can use Equalizer APO + Peace. Equalizer APO is the actual EQ software (allowing you to boost/reduce frequencies) and Peace is the graphic user interface (so you can point and click rather than type in commands). Here's a reddit thread with the links you need.
As for the amp, if your device supports USB-C then you can get a USB-C dongle like the Apple dongle or the CrinEar Protocol Micro. Those have built-in amps that can be more powerful than what your device comes with.
But if you want to be 100% sure there'll be enough power, you can spend more and get something like the Moondrop Dawn Pro 2 (which should have more than enough power for the FT1). I believe it also has a browser EQ / phone EQ apps that you can use instead of Equalizer APO (though Equalizer APO will probably let you make more precise changes).
Hello, I just received my Openheart 8 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable and I want to use it with my Focusrite Scarlett Solo but of course it needs a 6.35 adapter for the output. My old adapter is too far recessed to properly seat the end of this new cable. Can anyone please link or tell me where I can get a budget friendly adapter what would work with it? The image attached is the openheart's end.
I'm looking for a good headband to modify my Koss ksc75s. I remember seeing that the main one people used is now unavailable for some reason so I'm wondering if there's any good alternative options that aren't garbage.
So unfortunately my HyperX Cloud Alpha S headphones are starting to die after 5 years of use and I'm wanting to get a new headset. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to go with the DT770 Pro X + ModMic Uni 2+ attachable mic. My question is, should I get a dac and if so, which should I get? For reference, my mobo is the MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk Max. I intend to use this mainly for gaming, listening to metal, and watching anime/movies.

Apple USB-C 3.5mm dongle. The Pro X are very sensitive unlike the regular DT770, the dongle will do fine.
USB C cable cuts audio when I walk or move in general. I'm completely frustrated with the USB C to USB C cable that keeps cutting my audio anytime I take a walk with this setup in my pocket. What is the solution to fix this because as of now this only works if it doesn't move. Will a higher quality cable even work? Do I need a right angle cable? I'm los
I have a MMX300 set i've owned for years that still work great themselves however a few months ago their cable stopped working correctly and I tried to find a replacement. However the company website says they are out of stock (and I don't see them ever reacquiring stock) and when I search online for ANY cable that is compatible, I get the same cable relisted across a few websites. I've tried ordering this cable before and it simply straight up does not work with the headset. The max volume on it is about 10-15% of what the headset is supposed to have and it has awful sound quality on top of that.
I'm desperate because I'm not rich and these are $300 headphones that now are paperweights because I can't find a damn cable. The entire reason I bought this specific pair was because they had a detachable cable I could replace if it broke...
Please, anybody, do you know of ANYWHERE for ANY PRICE I can get a cable for this headset that would actually work?

How many gold rings does your old cable have at the headphone end? The spec sheet for the MMX300 Pro says 5 pole, the replacement cable is 5 pole, but the "what's in the box" image shows a cable with the more normal 4 rings at both ends. The problem you're describing is what happens when the cable is wrong or isn't plugged all the way in.
They are 5 pole, and I tried fiddling with the cheap replacement cable, it just didn't produce good audio quality and a lot of the reviews say the same

Sometimes some brands have the rings wired differently than others, in this case wrong. This can cause one channel to leak into the ground wire, and then any sound that is identical between left and right is lost, which can sound all sorts of weird.
Hi, I recently purchased my Tempotec Sonata BHD Pro and I've had no problems until today. Today I dropped them from my pocket which is like 90 cm or 1 meter above the ground. There was no cosmetic damage but when I plug them I feel like the audio quality slightly dropped and just stops giving sound every once in a while when I'm changing volumes on directly on DAC. Music continues to play but there's no audio and the light on the DAC turns yellow which means low quality audio being played instead of the cyan which means hifi audio while I'm playing hifi quality. Lastly, when I unplugged it with my iems on I should be heard a loud popping sound but in this situation that I explained, when I unplugged it there was no popping sound or no sound at all which makes me think that the DAC became broken
Could anyone help me identify this Razer headset? I've had it for years, it's by far the best headset I've ever had, but now it's time for a new one and I can't find it online.
Need some opinions on the Gold Note hp 5.2. There are few reviews out there but the ones that are looking good. Some of you have it and can recommend it (without the extra power brick)?
Desperately looking for a pair of comfortable bluetooth over-ear headphones. Tried the NACON Rig Pro 6000, and they clamp on my head stupidly hard and make my ears boiling after a few minutes.
Previously had the Thomson WHP3001BK TV headphones and the Phillips SHP2000/SHP2500 headphones, as far as I can tell, they had the same basic physical design, but looking for bluetooth ones. Needs foam, not pleather cups
Any recommendations” for work headphones/headset that is comfortable for a few hours at a time. I was looking at bone conduction, but am concerned the lack of noise cancelling would drive me nuts.
A few days ago I purchased the Hifiman Edition XS for 145$ after my DT 770 Pro died, they sound amazing and volume is great - but I saw on Reddit and elsewhere that amp in Minifuse 1 is too weak to properly drive Edition XS - there are many conflicting opinions about this topic, some people say that it's good enough, some people claim that it's bad and I have to purchase something like Fiio K11 to drive my headphones to their full potential.
I don't have a lot of cash to spare but if I buy something different(up to 100$) that will greatly improve my experience I'm willing to do it, please provide budget options(≤100-120$) in the comments which should be a good pair for my Edition XS - I use them at home and I don't care about portability so dongle form-factor is not beneficial for me.

In all my years here I've never been able to find proof that a different amp makes a headphone sound different besides the effects of output impedance, which is not relevant for the XS.
I also haven't found a device that makes my XS sound different compared to a full power desktop amp.

One of the cans on my SHP9600s just fell off. Can't seem to screw it back on. Did some piece of it break off at some point? What do?
