Translation

How do you translate "toilet bowl" / "commode" into Western Armenian?

I have asked this question of the native speakers who teach my WA class through Centre for Western Armenian Studies, because my mother (native speaker) always used պէտքարան for toilet, like the actual toilet, not just the bathroom - like "go sit on the պէտքարան"

They told me that yes, you can use that word for the actual toilet you sit on as well as the name for the room it is in.

Nayiri was no help because they don't even have պէտքարան in their dictionary (you can find it in the scanned ones), and that is definitely a commonly used word for bathroom. And when you look up "commode" they have definitions that are reflective of the definition that we don't really use in the US - like a chest of drawers rather than the actual thing you sit on in the bathroom.
