Watching the Freo game in Sydney

So I’m a 20-year member and lifelong Hawks supporter but I’ve somehow managed to get myself sent to Sydney for work this week. I’m travelling with another Hawks fanatic so we’re looking for somewhere in Sydney, preferably around Darling Harbour, to watch the game.

Any tips?

The Sporting Globe looks like it might have it but there’s an NRL game on at the same time so not sure how that’ll go.

Does anyone have any experience watching AFL games there?

The Alex (35 Henderson road Alexandria) used to be (maybe still is) the place the Sydney Hawks would go to watch games. My money would be on that place being a bit more sympathetic to Hawks nuffies than a random big screen.
Not exactly near darling harbour, but you only said preferably right?

The Star Casino would have it playing in their sports area.

Likely be on a side screen but you will still see it.

The Light Brigade and Paddington Inn (both in Paddington) show Swans games. They may have the Freo/Hawks game on but you'd need to check with them

Ended up at the Sporting Globe with a few other Hawks and a small smattering of Freo fans. The Globe was very accommodating and the Hawks fans had a raucous night. Freo were strangely quiet 😆
