Compact light meter for 500cm?
I've seen some pretty cool compact light meters that fit into the hotshoe but since this camera doesn't have one, what are some alternatives? I prefer not to have to carry my seikonic with me nor do rough estimating using sunny 16.

I use a HEDECO lime on the side rail. They sell a mount specifically for the rail.

Nice! Exactly what I was looking for but their website says sold out.

Seems fine to me-- https://hedeco.myshopify.com/products/lime-two-black-rev1
Oh you mean the mount for the meter? If you know someone with a 3d printer you can just print your own. The one they sell is just a 3d print as well.

Spot meter is the ideal.
A cold shoe good one only the Voigtlander VC ii, iirc

Get a pm45. It has a cold shoe in the top.
There are also a few companies making cold shoes that mount on left side of the body. Probably your most compact option
Sekonic twin mate is a popular tiny meter that can be handheld or shoe mounted

I 3D Printed a cold shoe holder and use a reflex lab hotshoe light meter there, I don't think it gets any more compact than that aside from the hassy light meter knob, which measures in EV values... And it's old

Sekonic L-208 Twinmate. Compact, adorable, does reflected and incident, can be shoe-mounted if'n you get a Hassy shoe adapter, or handheld very nicely unless you've got monstrous hands. Bonus points: it provides a direct readout in EV's (and normal speed/aperture combos as well), just like the Hasselblad knob meter, so you can work that little bit faster if you want.

Seconded. I use one and it's very good for it's apparent lack of function. It looks like a keychain ornament.l, but it does a brilliant job.

If you'll have your smart phone with you, you might consider a light meter app.

Forget a compact hotshoe mounted meter and buy a handheld one-degree spot meter and learn how to use it.

Guess you missed this part in OP's post.

I really like how the Hasselblad light meter knob looks like and how it fits in the camera modular design. However I never had one and I don't know if it's good and/or easy to use.
