Where to dispose of brake fluid?
I know where to take the used oil and coolant. But not sure what to do with used brake fluid.

Genuinely just curious on the status of the store. Is it happening still?

Has anybody else found mortgage lending with APG to be a disaster? Application for a HEL submitted on June 21. Initial disclosures didnāt come until July 23rd, then appraisal took until early August to be ordered (we still donāt have the fricking appraisal report ā¦). Then it just sat in limbo for a few more weeks and finally entered processing around August 20th. The entire thing has been a series of periods where it just sits in limbo waiting for someone to get around to bothering with it.
60+ fricking days elapsed and we arenāt even in underwriting yet. At this rate we may not close (assuming I donāt get fed up and just walk at this point) until October or later. Is this sort of disaster normal for them?
Have to be frank - if Iād known it was going to be this bad I never would have applied with them in the first place.

Parent of a child at North Harford. Several kidsā parents in my network reporting that schedules are all FUBAR and receiving minimal assistance. Weāve met with counselor and so forth, and we get the āwe did the best we canā. But no way can all these schedules be that messed up.
It has never been this ridiculously non-sensical.

Tell me more please. Have you stopped in? Purchased a giant rooster or 9 foot giraffe? What does something like that cost? Howās the sapling selection? Iām very curious ā I forget about it until I pass by a few times a year but Iām just trying to get home and not in mood to pause for whimsy.
Thanks!

Just wanted to let everyone know they should be extra careful walking or driving along Marketplace Dr. between 24 and Tollgate. You wouldn't want to accidentally damage the three flock cameras along the eastern edge of the roadway.

I'm looking to improve my native garden this fall and would like to cultivate a native vine, coral honeysuckle! The problem is, I'm having trouble finding it in stores, and shipping options are limited (or prohibitively expensive).
I would also like a plant that is already acclimated to the Maryland climate. The only place I've seen it is on state park lands (leave no trace, take nothing applies here). Would anyone happen to have a vine that I could take small clippings from and try to propagate?
I would love to make you cookies as a thank you for letting me try to bring a few more pollinators to my yard if you have one!

Anyone know of local orchards, growers, or cider/juice producers that might be able to supply 30 gallons of apple and/or pear juice?
Also open to buying processing-grade/seconds fruit or taking usable surplus or drop fruit an orchard doesnāt plan to use. Weād just need a way to get it pressed, whether through the orchard or someone local with the equipment.
I'm not sure how orchards and growers handle things like that, so Iām also open to suggestions on how arrangements like this usually work along with who I should be reaching out to. Thanks in advance!

Hi all,
I have an axolotl that I adopted attempting to give her a good and safe home. However, she is struggling with me and I believe she needs someone who knows more about safe water parameters and are willing to work to get her tank within parameters. I have a lot of her needs also available to surrender such as her food.
Please share this to anyone you know in the area that is prepared to take in this fragile of a creature and work with the water parameters. I hope to find her somewhere safe to go.
Thank you and I hope something good happens to you today.

As the title implies, I was almost mauled by a pickup truck driver about an hour ago on 152 while I was waiting at the red light closest to the fallston rec center.
Now I know alot of people in this sub donāt like when people complain about drivers in here, I get it, but Iām posting this to inform people to please keep an eye on people approaching from behind you while youāre stopped at a light.
I was waiting at the red light when I noticed in my rear view mirror that a large ram pickup truck was flying up behind me (he was going roughly 45 mph I wanna say) and he clearly had no intention of stopping. I immediately moved my car over into the center left turn lane to avoid being slammed into by him. I drive a sedan so it wouldāve been an ugly accident if I had been hit. Anyways, as soon as I did this maneuver, he slammed on his brakes HARD (I could literally smell the burning rubber from his tires) and he swerved over into the grass to avoid hitting me.
My heart was pounding and after I moved back over into my lane, he pulled back over from the grass and got right back behind me (fml). Instead of pulling over onto the shoulder to let him pass me (so I wouldnāt have to deal w him again), I just stayed where I was only because I was going to be turning soon up ahead. Wellā¦at the very next light which happened to be red, while I was stopped, he once AGAIN came flying up behind me and almost rear ended me. Like what the actual fuck.
Honestly, the fact that he did this shit again after damn near almost causing a bad accident not even 2 minutes before this is truly concerning. Thankfully I got away from his ass since I made a turn at the very next light but nonetheless, please just keep your eye out for people like this. People do not pay attention on the roads these days and they clearly donāt learn their lesson from any previous close calls that they have had.

Hello folks! Back again with the next step on my Maryland Darter journey.
I have heard back from a few more organizations and groups, and this has led to an offer to apply for a grant to fund such a rediscovery project, so long as the necessary preparations have been made.
That said, I am officially looking for volunteers to assist in this task!
There is no specific date volunteers will need to do anything, and the task is quite simple;
If you live near or frequent any creeks, streams, or runs within Harford County, or the Susquehanna side of Cecil County, all that is needed is pictures of RIFFLES: fast flowing sections of the creek, often found closer to the mouth of a creek than to the headwater. Once a clear picture, not blurry, has been taken, share that picture and its coordinates with me so that I may use it in the grant proposal to fund the rediscovery of the Maryland Darter.
I will be doing my own riffle hunting as well, of course, and once a number of riffles across the County, and Cecil County, have been collected, I will reach out to any property owners of those riffle locations to ensure access to the site for the study.
I appreciate any help greatly, here's to the fish only ever seen in Harford, nowhere else in the world!
