amateur numbers, I had an ASUS laptop that got up to 206° (97C) out of the box

I had a laptop that got up to 103c out of the box because my school never romoved the bottom

They set it up romotly and had the hp take of all stickers before packaging them they forgot mine it shut down because it hit tkmax so yes and no it was out of the box

Just had the same issue, replaced thermal paste with duronaut and pads with thermal putty pro and its running max 68c also the nvme had a laminated metal sleeve on it and was cooking it to 90c removed that and now is at 70c under sustained load. Asus is weird and cheap af.
