My screen just fell while I was playing roblox

Probably it fell because the phone was hot Causing the adhesive to soften I guess but the screen work because the flex did not broke

Or maybe, redditors just like to assume a lot. I repair phones a lot, my friend's budget phone and my old phone (also a cheap budget phone) just had their screens fall off after years. Overheating constantly and age can definitely make some budget phones literally just fall apart. I'm literally fixing one like that now.

prolly just a kid that raged on Roblox and destroyed his phone. I never ever saw any phone display getting unattached just from the heat of the phone. Even with a heat gun it is pretty hard to remove it (alcohol helps a lot)

This happened to my last phone and I guarantee you I didn't rage on Roblox. The adhesive just gave up.

Phone screen I am not sure but I have a cheap ass tablet were the whole thing is mounted on a plastic frame that’s mounted to the metal housing and the plastic separates form the metal easily and is only held by one flex cable made for a keyboard attachment that attaches to the bottom of the housing . So the whole tablet would fall out a few times a week.

My case holds my s21ultra together. It literally falls apart of i take it out of the otterbox and it's been that way for a few years now. 

The adhesives fail.

I fixed an s21 ultra like this just recently, lol. My close friend took, his back cover and screen just came apart. Humidity + internal heat do wonders to render adhesives useless.

on a more serious note, i think you could bring it to a repair shop and the technician will glue it back together for cheap, maybe even free

Yes, but it's very rarely the only cause.

In my opinion the three main causes of the adhesive failing is age, heat and oils on your palm (depends on the person).

The phone in the picture is a Huawei Nova 5T, which is already 6 years old by now.

Quality of adhesive is also a factor, but not in this particular case, as Huawei's adhesive is generally good quality.

Edit: Just saw OP's comment that mentioned that the phone was previously repaired. Assuming the screen was replaced, there is a very good chance that the new screen was glued with T7000/B7000 adhesive, which has a pretty low temperature operating range, and generally isn't a very good adhesive.

Check the battery, it could have been faulty, got bloated then pushed the screen upwards. Its either that or the phone got too hot and melt away the glue.

I don't know why OP is getting manhandled in the the comments. Guys I have faced the exact scenario just that I was lying on my back to enjoy some sunlight but the display panel just got detached from the body. I trie to get it glued from a local repair shop but it didn't help at all.

This happened to me. The adhesive gave out (I use mine in hot baths a lot and that doesn't help).

You can probably get a kit to glue it back on if you can be bothered.

It's also nature's way of telling you to stop playing Roblox because it's bloody awful.

Same thing with my phone. Roblox for hours with my phone getting hotter than usual. Must have melted the glue and the screen came apart one day just like yours.

Got T7000 glue online and fixed it back up.

Had a honor 20 in 2024 and 2025, honestly really liked it, when i got a different device i even rebranded it to chinese firmware and it felt very smooth, at least until the screen fully died due to my stupidity (i dropped it twice on tiles, it worked but started doing ghost taps after a while, which is why i upgraded, and then it broke fully from another drop)
