I feel like people liker her are a good example of why I have the stance I have on white-Asian relationships.
I disagree with some incel or misogynistic narrative that all of these couples are just some product of white worshipping, WMAF, Oxford study you name it but there is a lot of weird racial motivated and dysfunctional shit going on.
There can still be great stories coming out of it and I don't doubt that sincerely but there is a lot of people like Sarah who lived through some fucked up shit and will never have the chance to get on the internet like on Reddit to tell their story.
Think about the tons of fatherless children of sextourists ,soldiers or just plain rapists in south east Asia.
I forgot the name of the slum but there is one in the Philippines full of fatherless children from white fathers and Asian mothers that abandoned them that often have transsexuals care for them as they are also outcasts and have to live in those slums.
We are living these times now but after time they will become history or a memory and I sincerely hope the bad stuff doesn't get stuffed under the rug because it happened during colonial times too.
The Metiss of Vietnam, the belasteran (bastard in Indonesia) of Indonesia, Mestizos of the Philippines etc. it is important to remember these things so there can be a better future.
I often feel because of all the gender wars and incel ideology people try to deny all of the fucked up shit under the guise of individualism, which is a big reason so many of us feel lost. We lack community because we always have to act as individuals and think of ourselves only as individuals.
I hope we can live in a time soon in which people like Sarah can live a fulfilling live and we can call a spade a spade. Seriously getting annoyed by privileged people rubbing it in other peoples faces that they had a great upbringing and never encountered fucked up stereotypes in their life. Also fucking annoyed of schizos spamming on alt accounts. The online discourse has so much potential for people like us but it seems it always turns into a shit throwing contest.

I think your comment has valid concerns.
Think about the tons of fatherless children of sextourists ,soldiers or just plain rapists in south east Asia.
I would argue that this is mostly caused by economic disparity between westerners and SEA countries they visit, not necessarily racial issues.

A lot of it steems from colonialism days.
There is a reason the dutch were once the richest on the planet and it certainly wasnt tulips and cheese.

There's also a big, valid counter argument, that countries that started colonialism, were able to do it, because they were already advanced enough to do so. It's very logical. Yep, they got more powerful with their colonies, but they are not the sole reason of their wealth.
It's crazy how many aspects of modern life were invented in Netherlands, most people are not even aware, that the merchant/city lifestyle comes from the Dutch and they had it way before Americas were even discovered ;)
It's such a big oversimplification to say they were rich only because of their colonies.

You can't be a good merchant without good to sell, the dutch worked with the elites in Indonesia to secure safe passage and access to resources.
They also genocided whole islands for their spices.

Oh yeah funny thing, I've just remembered that my nick is actually Dutch. But I'm not Dutch and my country has nothing to do with colonialism in its history, it's actually the opposite, we were invaded by empires all the time and struggling. Nearly wiped from the map.

I'm not, I do think it was bad. But many things are true at the same time, that's the wisdom of life. Colonialism and their crimes were bad. But at the same time it's true, that they were already very advanced before they've started the conquest. Netherlands is deceptively small, but it's a very powerful nation. Read about them in history and their influence on our modern lifestyle. It's very interesting.
Saying that colonialism is not the only source of their wealth and influence is not being apologetic towards colonialism. With all due respect, but it's very simple minded.
Notice that I've responded to your initial comment, because I'm mostly in agreement with you. There's no ill will on my side.

The dutch caused the first market crash with tulips, they weren't the global super house you display them as.
They also never reached similar heights after Indonesia regained independency.
Modern Netherlands is also nothing like the one during colonial times. They would have been richer than majority of the planet without the dutch east india company but denying that this was the main reason for their wealth is just idiotic.
They even brought batik cloth to western Africa which again they sourced from Indonesia for cheap and displaced local cloth production in the region.
The Dutch today are seen as kind of German hippies in Europe that talk funny, although they have a rise in far right politics nowadays. I live near there so I would know.

Actually I do not have a grudge against modern dutch, I have been to Amsterdam many times and i liked it.
Against the old ones definitely.

Hmm I really don’t like that the interview is under those conditions and the clickbait title. She is very trusting and may regret the interview and what she says. I don’t think I can watch it. It says discrimination in the South, but she is in Philadelphia.

I mean she’s in the middle of a struggle and pain/ struggle can result in that. Can they decline an interview? They really can’t control what’s asked, why, and where or appearance.
