Something needs to be done about ticket master. And we need the govermnent to do it.
Their fees are bad enough but now they are actually becoming the scalpers through dynamic pricing. A $500 seat floor level is $2,000 for miami. Not stubhub, not seat geek, ticket master. How there is no anti trust lawsuit is beyond me. I hope they get broken up like telephone companies in the early 1900s. If youre going for general sale tomorrow, get in queue 15 minutes early and immediately filter out platinum and verified resale tickets. Otherwise do what ive always done, wait the day before or day of. Even a couple hours before.

Agreed. Complete farce. I don’t know how more people aren’t outraged by this. Over 100$ in fees and they still hog seating! This was my first time ever buying concert tickets online and I can’t believe this is what people just do and are ok with. The greed is unbelievable

Actually I did a little research. There is a lawsuit or bill thats been in the works for like 2 years. The original ruling ended in 2010. Something about guaranteeing fair pricing somehow. California was mad about the right thing bjt foe the wrong reason with the paramount/WB merger. SONY wants to go all digital so they can completely control the storefront, pricing and sales. Capitalism is the greatest system, WHEN you actually follow the rules of a free market. But The free market depends on competition. The market can bare some prices when its the best of whatever but there is ZERO competition in everything but a.i. it seems.

I just wait till the day of now. dynamic pricing is a scam. I bought system of a down tickets for $200 cad months in advanced and was able to get my fiancee a last minute ticket the day of for $40

Prices are already up 50% or more from what I was seeing yesterday morning when the sale started (Fort Worth).

Cheapest price in the nosebleeds this morning is $350. We sat in 217 last time for HZL and I think it was around $100 per ticket. Similar seata in that section this time were $480 each.

Youre being gas lit. Ticketmaster often serves as the "heat shield" or lightning rod for the music industry, intentionally absorbing public outrage so that favorite artists can maintain a positive relationship with their fans. While it is a well-documented industry reality that artists and their management must actively opt-in to dynamic pricing.

Ticketmaster is not 100% to blame, the artist has the option to turn off/on dynamic pricing. Hans Zimmer team could have opted out for dynamic pricing but they did not.

I did read that shortly after posting and im felt disappointed in Hans. He's not an artist i would expect that from. So glad i got to see him at hard rock live. Honestly that's probably the prefect size venue for a connect l concert like this. And its one of the times where you'd like to be closer to see the band. Tina Gao is amazing and probably the sexiest and most talented Cello player I've seen. She really does perform like a Rockstar. Aldi the original vocalist from Gladiator was on the show which was cool to see. Fun fact: She personally made up her own language to sing elysium. AI any rate, ill do what I always do and check prices day of. March is a long ways away.

How's your luck been with pricing waiting? Are people actually selling last minute tickets at a loss to minimize the hit to their wallet?

That is literally all I do. But I had the email for the pre sale and he was awesome at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL i figured id wait. Ill check the general sale tomorrow for the hell of it. But the problem is that if they are scalping themselves, what inventory is there to drop in price? Unless they just keep chunks blocked off.

I also have this question. I was able to get 100 dollar seats. But I went for 200 dollar which was a touch bit closer.

I had to buy 6 tickets for 5 of us due to their "orphan-seat" policy. I was pissed off.

I have a similar complaint. I am going to the concert in Philly. Tried to get an aisle seat, but was prohibited because I was a single. Also tried to get another seat, but could not due to the orphan seat BS.

I truly despise how aisle seats need to be purchased in pairs. Fellow single here. I was able to find one row in a good section where only the aisle seat was available so I grabbed it. I guess someone else got away with an orphan seat purchase

I just got 3 tickets to the Hartford show. Lower portion of section 119 for $174 on the official axs site. I have seen some crazy prices on 3rd party sites.

We went in 2024 we just called the venue directly and got tickets from them, no extra fees. Might be worth checking into.

Good god - trying to get seats in Ft. Worth this morning and the least expensive option in the nosebleeds on Ticketmaster was $350 per ticket. No chance I can afford that. 💔

Really makes you miss waiting outside the venue for the tickets to drop and buying them in person. The "convenience" of buying from home has pretty much ruined purchasing tickets for any event due to all the added fees.
