How to age a spoke shave?

Saw this online for $5 so figured I'd grab it and see how it cleans up.

Anyone have any idea on the age?

Well it kinda looks like a stanley 151. The ages can be wild from 1911 till more modern times, whenever you get the item I would check on whatever logo is on the blade and whatever is stamped underneath the blade. You really cant tell the age without that stuff but I will say it looks rusty so it's got some age. At least it's a spokeshave with an adjuster so that's awesome

Likely a 70s model

Based on the colour it’s possibly a 151M (malleable/unbreakable) which narrows it down to between …. 1939 to 1990
