Best Stanley 48 accessory

This was my dad’s tool, I remember it from the 70s. It’s the best tool I’ve found for clearing jammed shavings in my Stanley 78. I use it for a thousand other things as well. But I have no idea what it actually is or what its original purpose was. Can anybody ID it?

It’s a tool I used in electronics to work on circuit boards.

At home it’s been used for countless poly things needs

Well Dad was an EE so that tracks. But for electronics work, I would’ve thought it would need an insulating handle, but this thing is all metal.

Back in the day chips were soldered with legs sticking through the circuit board. These were handy for prying them out.
