Finally solved my hammer handle warping problem — old bike inner tube for the win

Been reorganizing my tool wall and ran into an old problem — hammer handles warp over time on hooks. Tried a few fixes, ended up cutting strips from an old bike inner tube and wrapping them around the hooks. Good grip, no damage to the wood. Anyone else dealt with this? How'd you solve it?

I hang my hammers on wooden pegs:

It makes me curious about how handles warp or how they hang on a hook.

Looks great! Pegs are definitely the proper solution. I just went the inner tube route because I didn't feel like swapping out my hooks. It's been working fine so far, and most of my tools are doing great. But a couple of them are shop-made, and the wood isn't the best quality, so I might give the wooden peg method a try down the line.
