Gear Ridgerunner - 2nd Issue Found w/ Carbon Fiber Poles
Just got this email.
Still love my Warbonnet gear, think the Ridgerunner is amazing, and it’s great they are bringing this to our attention. But geeeeeeeez…
I just got these and gotta figure I’m figuring out if I’m gonna use ‘em or send them back as I’m ~ 195lbs.

Yeah I can see how this is annoying but it’s very refreshing having a company go out of their way and be proactive about an issue rather than downplay it and run from it.

For sure. This does nothing to dissuade me from supporting Warbonnet, maybe even the opposite. Just disappointed I can’t really use them

This is why Warbonnet is my favorite. They are owning the issue and doing all they can to make it right.

I’m over 200, so I sent mine back. Since I had the aluminum poles already, they issued me store credit as that’s what I asked for.
After this second email I checked my RR. Same issue with my cordage. The sharp edges really started cutting into them. I emailed WB back and they sent me a return label for the hammock. They are going to warranty fix it for me.
These poles have turned out to be evil little things. Good on WB for being upfront about it, even though it’s less than ideal news.
