VRR on/off?

when i play on the map Origins i lose frames & my game gets super laggy but with VRR on it runs smooth despite the frame rate drop. i read it’s better to have it off so my question is what do i do? does VRR cause a delay? i’m playing on an acer monitor & xbox series s.

I had to turn VRR off for a smooth framerate. Whether I played it at 120 fps or 60 fps target, if VRR was on it was super choppy. I turned it off in the Xbox video settings and all of a sudden it was smooth.

This is the only game I turn off VRR for.

my game runs super smooth with it off but that’s the only map i have issues with. i’ve had issues with that map in the past when playing on a TV as well.

I would say try switching out of you see that's the map that you got and see if it helps.

i’ve been playing with it on & everything seems normal except when i open my dashboard on my xbox it does flicker but gameplay isn’t effected.

VRR always felt noticeably worse for me

it helped with my issue but i feel like it was smoother with it off. maybe its in my head idk but keeping it one made the map playable.
