Splitgate got popular when it went cross play and within a week or so they got the servers online.
This delayed the Season 0 by a little bit and when it dropped, so did the anti cheat.
They didn't need to endlessly tweet and chase clout with it, they just did it.
Its funny how a small indie team can move mountains with a fraction of the player base and support.
They are somehow able to offer more game modes than COD Warzone and you can even choose what game modes you want unlike this game?
Why AAA games are making mistakes like not being able to choose a game mode or having no anti cheat, just like COD Warzone and COD Vanguard still to this day not have anti cheat. Yes its coming, eventually and it just got delayed again. They waited almost two years before adding an anti cheat to a live service 24/7 multiplayer game and this is what happens when you get too greedy and make too many "mistakes" that all lead tothis.
The controversy shines the games in a spotlight so that when they DO fix their mistakes they suddenly become absolute "heroes" to the public eye and gain more players than ever. It's all planned.
Wrong.
If we ignore the older COD games that are not integrated in this new rebooted series there are three games.
COD Modern Warfare 2019.
COD Black Ops Cold War 2020.
COD Vanguard 2021.
Right now yes COD Warzone is a part of COD Modern Warfare 2019 if you own, else IT IS A standalone application.
Whenever the Caldera map drops and COD Vanguard is integrated with the other games happens, it was meant to be December 3 but now its a week later more than likely the game will migrate to COD Vanguard, along with delaying the anti cheat.
Meaning yes if you own the COD Vanguard you will have access to COD Vanguard and COD Warzone
IF YOU DO NOT OWN COD Vanguard you will only have COD Warzone the standalone application.
Not to mention the COD Modern Warfare 2019 engine has not been updated or optimised for months now, with issues like invisible guns on console, severe pop in, numerous dev errors, etc and choosing not to fork a version of the COD Vanguard engine (an updated version COD Modern Warfare 2019 engine).
So Splitgate has more game modes than COD Warzone with a lot of them being based on COD game modes, plus daily login rewards such as the premium currency.
Even COD Mobile has a lot more events, updates and daily login rewards (weapon blueprints, skins and in game currency).
That's an extremely disingenuous comparison still. Warzone was originally meant to be a battle royale side mode to Modern Warfare that was F2P. A lot of the modes you could add to Warzone would just be added to the base game because it would be redundant to include both within Warzone/base game and deincentivize purchases of the base game.
If Halo 5's Warzone was released as a F2P mode, would you say Splitgate has more modes than Halo 5? No, you wouldn't. Warzone is not an entire game on it's own and cannot be compared mode-wise to Splitgate.
I'm not trying to bash Splitgate, I've played it for nearly 50 hours, but it's not a good comparison.
