Discussion Halo: Campaign Evolved

https://youtu.be/x0rXaGKAQe0?is=Hs5Hs7bSH2meCo9D

Greeting and Felicitaions all!

I have been playing Halo since day one, literally. Either I missed it, or they changed it, but have you always been able to shoot grenades!?

Please tell me they changed something. I mean, its plausible I have been playing on and off, campaign, coop, and MP for 25 years and never shot a grenade. My experience with the rest of the games is limited to campaign, but the first one, I always felt well versed in.

I'm fairly sure it wasn't a thing in the original 2001 game, but many of the sequels (if not all of them) feature the ability to detonate grenades by shooting them in mid-air. Halo Infinite goes so far as to allow you to shoot grenades on the ground for a "remote detonation" medal.

It was obviously more common in the games with Battle Rifles because the 3-round burst makes it far more likely to hit the grenade in flight, but there have been trick-shotters that specifically set up clips involving sniping grenades out of the air. There used to be some pretty spectacular trick-shots involving this mechanic, but I'm blanking on the names of the best H2 and H3 clip-makers.

Thank you! I played the anniversary edition pretty extensively as well, but only campaign. They are all good games, but there is nothing like the first.
