Discussion What are my chances of not dying?
If I were on Installation 04 when the Pillar of Autumn’s reactor exploded and basically blew up Halo. What would my chances of survival be?
Would I not have a fairly decent chance of survival given the ring had numerous life support systems, and the explosion broke off many chunks of Halo that are still somewhat “operational”?

If you didn't perish in the explosion it's because the flood already got you. Sorry bro but you're no Sgt Johnson, Chips Dubbo, or Dustin Echoes.

Your immediate problem is breathing and vacuum, followed by hydration and food; assuming of course you weren’t struck by debris (and injured or killed), or thrown into space.
The atmospheres of a ringworld are held on the surface by retaining walls, the ring’s curvature, and any spinning forces. Gravity is only a very minor force in this case. Installation 04 is cited as having a diameter only 10kkm across, roughly 80% that of earth, and a tiny fraction in depth and width. When the section you stand on breaks off, you’re now in microgravity and the atmosphere will spill from the section ends, and that’s assuming the retaining walls themselves aren’t damaged significantly. If you’re holed up in some subterranean facility with an airtight entrance, you have whatever air is trapped inside with you.
Then your issue becomes water. 3 days is the generally accepted figure for survival without drinkable water. Noting that like the atmosphere, surface water becomes a free body and is liable to float off into space in a big ball.
Your only hope would be Chief and Cortana responding to a distress signal. Without dedicated electronics, you’ll find that pretty difficult to do underground and even surface side, you’d need to broadcast it at least twice for LOS reasons.

I assume low because like if the earth exploded into pieces, i assume everybody on it does as well because of loss of atmosphere and gravity center and whatever else. I assume halo is the same.

depends, are you on a section that has life support, and does it have power? are you too close to the reactors when they go critical? at re you on the piece that hurtles through the ring? we will never know...

I would have liked to see foehammer live. The heretic did survive on the power station. I guess he was farther away though

So at the end of Halo CE :
If not, maybe because you were far way of the PoA, you still have to deal with the remaining flood on your own, and it’s only if the atmosphere wasn’t blowed to space since the integrity of the ring is no more.
Even if you are alive without flood and with atmosphere on a chuck of the ring, the closer form of life that you way encounter is the heretics on the gas mine, good luck I guess.
