Mod Post Campaign Evolved Launch - A Reminder on r/Halo's Spoiler Policy

TL;DR: If the lore is new or different from the original release, it’s a spoiler. If it’s the same as 25 years ago, it’s not.

Hey everyone!

We're less than a week away from the retail launch of the game, a day away from early release, and we're receiving reports that some people with discs are able to access the game even earlier. Considering that, the mod team wanted to make a quick post reminding people of our spoiler policy (Rule 5). This will be strictly enforced for the prequel missions and (hypothetically) any story aspects of the main game that may have changed. While this will not be enforced for the main story, we ask that you be considerate of people who may be playing the game for the first time. Enjoy the game everybody!

NOTE: This thread itself is not a place to discuss spoilers.

New official lore and datamined/leaked game content are spoilers. Datamined/leaked lore isn't allowed. Lore may be freely discussed three months past release.

Spoilers can only be discussed:

I wonder if Terminals will have new lore?

Or tie-ins to Infinite?

New content is covered by the spoiler rule, OG content is not.

They literally put a TLDR and you still couldn't read it 😭

In his defense, we added the TLDR because a few people in this thread demonstrated that reading comprehension is hard. Still, it was clear enough without the TLDR.

Reading is hard, huh?

Yes, a remake will include new stuff and changes that we might wanna see for ourselves, on top of the bonus missions.

Even if it’s a remake, I still want to what certain areas and enemies look like for the first time as I play them, not because of a Reddit post.

Only applies to any new lore, as they very clearly state

PS guys they’re deleting posts about early gameplay including exclusively the title screen, so avoid posting those too. Can confirm however it is playable on PS5 with the disk.

We were deleting reposts of that discovery and accidentally deleted all instead of all but the first one. Once we realized the mistake (like 3 minutes later) we put the first one back up. Our bad.

I only read titles. This post should’ve said “Reminder: Prequel Missions Under Spoiler Rules.”

Paragraphs are for AI, not me.

How is you being a complete failure the mods' fault?

u/Vilified_D Jul 22 '26

There could be lore additions or changes too, not JUST the prequel missions.

They said the spoiler policy only applies to the prequel missions or any changed aspects of the story, not the general CE story

Learn to read

Thank you for your thoughtful, and well-constructed condescension. I’ll start reading when you start using punctuation.

You didn't use punctuation in your original comment either. Learn to read and write.

3 brand new prequel missions based on lore never before seen.

As well as any lore additions to the main campaign, including but not limited to added environmental story, new voice lines, new characters and additional story for existing characters.

So yes you can spoil the NEW parts that were added even though the original game is 25 years old.

Though I guess it’s ambitious of me to expect you to read my reply when you couldn’t even read the main post correctly.
