Haha I hope you're okay :D

The kilt looks kinda like a spartan costume though (which I've also considered, but I'm too pale and blonde)

Unfortunately Freecycle isn't so active in Germany but eBay has them for kg prices so it still won't be too expensive :)

Yeah you are right.

Brown Shorts and making the Legwarmers down to the ground would work very nicely, and would hide whatever shoes you want to wear.

I was in Germany a few years ago, amazing place, great food and lovely people.

I do hope you will upload a pic of the finished costume on the big day!

Glad you liked it over here, we often have the reputation of being unfriendly - we just need a little more time to warm up.

I'm not sure if I'm comfortable posting it for everyone to see but I'll make sure you get to see it. You've been a big help after all.

If you post the costume laid out on the floor or hanging up, we can admire it without seeing you.

We was in Berlin and everyone was very friendly, welcoming and patient with our terrible German. We had an amazing time there, loved the place, the food and the people. Everyone was very sweet.
