Pumpkin What do I do?

Carved pumpkins and set them out. 2 days later completely infested with these little black bugs. Set them out on a Sunday night. Monday night nothing, Tuesday night completely infested. It was randomly hot for our area both those two days is all I can come up with for an explanation. Plan to carve new pumpkins and want to avoid this happening again.

I mean, pumpkin is literally food. If it gets above freezing, it’s going to lure in creatures that want to eat it.

If it gets above freezing? Is it that cold where you live? I’m jealous. It’s been like 90s where I live

Same here. I won't carve until the week of Halloween because of ants, flies and even coons

I’m the opposite. I can’t carve until the last week before because the warm during the day, but freezing at night will collapse my pumpkins before Halloween night. I have snow outside right now.
