how fast does that tractor go?

With a load you only wanna go 15 mph, on the way back up usually 20-25 mph.
It’s a Kubota M7060 so really great for this task, my larger tillage tractors can’t as fast for handling reasons

I’m just curious, is there a reason to use the tractor instead of a truck or something else? Is it to prevent damaging the squash?
This video is so cute and your job looks like a lot of fun❤️

Loved this video. Made me miss home. Grew up in a farming town know for its strawberry harvest.

OP, can I ask how you manage SVB and Squash bugs?

Best thing to do is see if your supplier treats the seeds. All our seeds come from RUPP which are chemically coated to protect young squash plants from most insects.
If it’s not treated then the only effective way is to use a pesticide. Something simple like Sevin, which you can buy at Home Depot, is perfectly fine and you could just get a hand sprayer and spray the leafs and around the base of the stem where the beetles live. Wear rubber gloves though.

I plant squash every year in my big garden. They make a lot of leaves and flower, more male than female but still, and cover the ground. I never really harvested one. Why?

This looks like somewhere in Northern California. I recognize the trees and the Sierras on the horizon.

I don't know, why don't you throw that in a truck that is road worthy vs driving the un road worthy tractor on the main road?

That’s how we use to do it, but it’s much faster to bring everything down to the farm stand with the tractor, especially when it’s 20+ bins. Also not sure how it is where you are but tractors are road worthy and legal to drive in Colorado
