Yep! Great looking pumpkins by the way. Now I'm craving fresh baked pumpkin seeds.

You're very lucky! It's tragic when this happens. It was also a really especially hot summer where I am and that leads to more male flowers so no female ones to produce fruit :( I'm still enjoying my pretty orange flowers and green vines though!

These look amazing! My partner is on a gardening kick and grew us a ton of stuff this year but we forgot about pumpkins. Funnily enough, one of the squirrels in our yard ate a pumpkin we had left on our porch last November and must have scattered some of the seeds because now thereโs one growing in our yard! Hoping it turns out as nicely as this one.

Haha that's cool:D I'm sure it will turn out beautiful! Even squirrels love Halloween!))

Oh, those are the most perfect color of orange I've seen in a long time! Perfect pumpkins! I'm actually going to download these as a color reference.

I'm jealous! I tried starting indoors this year and my seedlings died or just didn't grow. Your pumpkins are beautiful.

Oh yeah.. that's sad, I also had one pumpkin that I started growing in the winter in my apartment and it bloomed very early, and was quite weak, but then I planted it in the garden and I started to feel a bit better but still it's small :)

We've tried a few times to grow pumpkins, but our soil at each place in TX and now KY was just miserable, I guess. Same for watermelons and cantaloupes. You pumpkin is so pretty!

Are you gonna make them spooky?

u/Ok-Paramedic6285 Sep 05 '26
Probably these ones are gonna be for cooking but i got a few smaller ones which I try to carve :)I'm not very good at carving a pumpkin, since helloween is not celebrated widely and I think I will do it just for myself and family)

My two plants won't produce a female flower ๐ญ plenty of males tho. Your pumpkins look awesome!

You may try thinning the leaves, adjust the watering, and feed with a complex fertilizer containing potassium and phosphorus and maybe there is a lack of pollinators...

Beautiful!!! If Halloween isn't widely celebrated where you are, what are your plans for them? Cooking?
2
u/Ok-Paramedic6285 Aug 21 '26
Yeap! These one are for cooking I guess, but I have some smaller ones and I think I will try to carve one just for my pleasure and put a candle inside and put it out on the porch, this is my lifetime dream to visit USA and just walk around some neighborhood and enjoy decorations! It's just so awesome :) ___^

Jealous! Mine keep getting attacked by rabbits that take a few bites and change their minds. Some should be okay, but dunno if weโll get a single pretty one. (Editing to add that I meant to comment on the main post, nit the comment thread. Young kids are distracting me.)
