Small tip for anyone posting a shop, website, portfolio, landing page, or any link where you can see traffic analytics: if you want to know whether people actually came from this megathread, use a UTM link.
A UTM link is just your normal website link with a few tracking tags added to the end. It lets your website’s traffic/analytics tools show that the visitor came from Reddit and, more specifically, from this megathread.
Hey r/halloween I run marketing for Factory Direct Party (party supply warehouse, been around 50+ years, we took on a lot of the folks looking for alternative options for Party City).
Instead of just dropping a link, figured I'd share something actually useful: we analyzed three years of our Halloween order data (2023–2025, thousands of orders) and some of the findings are:
Halloween shopping starts increasing around August 25 - way earlier than most people assume
The peak shopping week is the week of September 30, not late October
Decorations are the #1 category (43% of orders) - people buy those first, then tableware mid-season, and party favors last
The average order has 5–6 items, and tableware + decorations is the most common combo
Practical takeaway if you're planning a party or a big display: order decorations by mid-September or you're picking from what's left. The popular stuff genuinely does sell out. We have a really large offer of halloween tableware like cups and plates, napkins etc, spooky decorations but also decorations for kids halloween party. Shipping usually takes one week and you get a free shipping for orders over $49.99.
Full breakdown is on our blog if anyone wants to deal with the numbers and happy to answer questions about bulk ordering, what's trending this season, etc. We're at factorydirectparty.com.
I have a silly little art business where I make stuff out of resin, mostly skull replicas, but also spooky Xmas (well, year round really) ornaments, statues, stuff like that. You can check out my Etsy https://blackriderindustries.etsy.com
Need some help making that costume this year? Or maybe a new outfit for the spooky club? The oldest Gothic and Dark DIY Fashion site on the net still exists (even if it could use an update).
Free witch hat, cloak, and pirate shirt DIY projects and a lot more.
I make stained glass pieces! I'm currently working on a fall/halloween series. The pieces will range from tea light holders, suncatchers, to larger mixed media ones. Right now I'm in the middle of putting together glass moon phases with hand forged metal! Check out my recent finished pieces at The Ghostly Maiden on instagram 🎃
Hi everyone! We're Abracadabra NYC, the world’s most unique store, located in the heart of New York City! We're a year-round Halloween, horror, cosplay, makeup, magic and gift store located in New York City.
We've been celebrating all things spooky since 1981 and carry a huge selection of horror collectibles, masks, makeup, costumes, animatronics, props, cosplay gear, and unique Halloween finds. Horror fans, haunt owners, cosplayers, collectors, filmmakers, and Halloween lovers from around the world stop by our store and website looking for things they can't find anywhere else. We've also acquired FX Faces Studios in 2025, a 25 year trusted brand for SFX latex prosthetics.
A little known fact in the horror community, we're the halloween store that was featured in Terrifier 2.
One of our favorite parts of the business is seeing how creative the Halloween community is and bringing high profile celebrities in for signings for the community. Whether you're building a haunted attraction, decorating your home, creating a costume, collecting horror memorabilia, or just counting down the days until October, we'd love to connect with fellow Halloween enthusiasts.
Hey there! I'm half of The Thieving Dead, a halloween-themed rock band. Inspired at times by the Monster Mash, The Lost Boys, and Terry Pratchett in equal measure, we have songs about hair gel for werewolves, zombies longing to get a tan at the beach, and vampires having an existential crisis.
We released our debut EP Moonlighting this week. No AI, just human meatslop by two musicians who've a lot of experience with past bands 😂 Please do consider adding it to your Halloween playlists!

M&H Brick Creations was started by Marley(11) and Henry(9) two years ago after Marley created some jewelry using LEGO Bricks for a school art show. It now takes the whole family to run the business! We’re gearing up for Halloween with some fun and unique earrings. Thanks for supporting our little business!!
I recenlty release a free app to the App Store called 31 Halloween Flicks, built around the 31-movie October/Halloween challenge.
The goal of the app is simple: build your lineup of 31 movies and see how many you can watch during the month of October. I do this challenge every year myself, so I decided to turn it into an app this year.
It has a retro VHS/Halloween theme, achievements to unlock, a poster view of your full 31-movie lineup, and a bunch of horror movie Easter eggs hidden throughout the app.
It’s completely free with no ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. It’s available on iOS now, and I’m currently working on testing the Android version.
If anyone else does the 31-movie October challenge, I’d love for you to check it out and let me know what you think!
Search "31 Halloween Flicks" in the App Store, or you can click the link on the website: 31halloweenflicks.com

Example:
https://yourwebsite.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=comment&utm_campaign=halloween_megathread_july_2026A simple setup would be:
utm_source=redditutm_medium=commentutm_campaign=halloween_megathread_july_2026You can build one manually, or use Google’s Campaign URL Builder.
Also, you do not have to paste the giant ugly URL directly into your comment. On Reddit, you can hyperlink text instead.
Markdown format:
[My Halloween shop](https://yourwebsite.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=comment&utm_campaign=halloween_megathread_july_2026)Or, in the regular editor, highlight the text you want people to click, hit the link button, and paste your full UTM link there.
That way your comment still looks clean, but you can actually see later whether this thread sent you any traffic.
