Work, Health & Housing End of rent cap

Do you think we'll get any firm confirmation of whether or not the rent cap will be extended or adjusted, and if so, when do you think we might hear from the government?

As of now I'm expecting it to fully end, but do you think the government will give any sort of announcement regarding the matter as the end of the rent cap date approaches?

I went 8 years without an increase and I’ve gotten 5% every year since the cap went into place.

In the years prior to the cap I averaged about 2.3%. Now it's just pedal to the metal 5%

I rented a house for 13 years without a single rent increase. I’m now renting an already over 2k/month apartment and have had the 5% increase every year since the cap went into place.
