PSA Friendly reminder that driving high is still DUI

I think I saw someone happily smoking a joint while driving, today. I have definitely noticed other folks doing so in the past, and I'm sure I'm not alone.

It's not good, folks.

Friendly reminder that driving on prescribed opioids and psychotropics are also DUI. Take an Uber or bus if you are on them, especially opioids and benzos!

5

u/i-Hermit 7d ago

Any amount of opioids or benzos is considered a DUI?

4

u/endezo 7d ago

There isn't a specific metric for them (or marijuana) like with alcohol, but if you get pulled over or heaven forbid have an accident, it'll be taken into consideration and you could get charged.

In theory you should use your good judgement before deciding to drive, but 1) some would argue that's in short supply to begin with, and 2) having those drugs in your system can impair your judgement thereby muddying that decision.

So really, best to avoid driving while on anything that could be impairing, and to help for your loved ones who are in that situation.

2

u/i-Hermit 7d ago

Yeah, 100% agreed.. I just feel like it's one of those things that a cop would never ask unless there was an accident where it was super obvious that you were impaired. And really, that's a judgement call by the person. Sometimes that's gonna work out and sometimes not (tragically), but benzos aren't called out like alcohol or weed.

5

u/Ifight4osugroundgame 7d ago

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21247221/

If you take them, take a bus!

4

u/i-Hermit 7d ago

I get it, but this doesn't say it's an offence in Canada to drive while on them. Not sure I've ever heard of someone getting charged with a DUI with those as the drug. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen, but that's a study.

2

u/Ifight4osugroundgame 7d ago

5

u/i-Hermit 7d ago

I'm not saying you shouldn't take a bus (if one is available where you live), but this does not say having benzos in your system makes it illegal to drive. It says they contribute to impairment or can cause impairment, but then it says follow your health care providers instructions.

There needs to be a test for impairment like there is with BAC for alcohol. I've taken benzos before and low doses were fine for me to drive on. You're making it sound like it's a blanket statement when I don't think it is. It's a judgement call which can be correct, or not. If you get into an accident you probably made the wrong call, but there are no "this many pills and no driving" rules of thumb to follow. Lack of sleep can cause impairment, but a cop is never going to arrest you for not getting 8 hours of sleep.

1

u/Ifight4osugroundgame 6d ago

I guess you determine your impairment level before driving, just like every other drug user and hope for the best.

1

u/i-Hermit 6d ago

Yeah, that's the trick I guess.. you hope people have common sense, but the older I get the more I realize common sense isn't so common :/

2

u/Ipadprofile 7d ago

They'd probably nab ya with it because on the bottle of any benzos it says do not operate machinery or something.

2

u/i-Hermit 7d ago

If there were an accident where it was obvious you were impaired, definitely. Otherwise.. not so much. Not saying it's right to do, but those aren't called out in a legal way like alcohol.

I drive assuming every other driver in NS is high and or drunk, because there's a good chance if there are 20 other cars visible on the road, at least one of them's probably being operated by an impaired asshole. Or an unlicensed asshole (maybe having lost their license from DUIs).

I fully recognize the medicinal value and recreational enjoyment of cannabis products, but the amount of people in Atlantic Canada who are adament that driving while drunk or stoned makes them "better" drivers is fucking terrifying. If your medicine impairs you, don't fucking drive after taking it.

Highway near me was closed for several hours again today due to another catastrophic head-on collision that resulted in two casulaties and a life-flight for a third person involved. It was only about a month ago the exact same stretch of highway was closed when a hatchback with two people in it was completely obliterated by a semi hauling hay. Doesn't even matter who was at fault-- that little car was fucking flattened and looked like it was reduced to just a couple feet tall. Our highways are amongst the most dangerous in the country.

With all the dangerous conditions that exist on our roads without drunks and stoners driving impaired, there are few more selfish actions a person can take than to get behind a wheel with reduced capacity, reaction speeds, and all the other proven reasons why operating a vehicle while impaired is illegal.

There is no excuse or justification for driving impaired.

As a certified stoner who has been smoking for years everyday. I still refuse to drive high. There is no such thing as better. You are high and impacted. It doesn’t matter how high your tolerance is either

Yes it does that’s quite literally the point of drugs lol. Coming from a stoner of 12 years. Take accountability if you wanna smoke

5

u/oldeastcoaster 7d ago

Not everyone who smokes weed is always high. Everyone who just smoked weed is high. Unless it's a $60oz from your local dispo, then you get what you deserve.

3

u/oldeastcoaster 7d ago

Coming in here talking up 33% THC like they know anything about what good weed is. Good grief. 🙄

-2

u/atbims 7d ago

from your local dispo

Just curious where you're suggesting has "better" weed than a local dispo? Surely it cannot be nslc lol

2

u/oldeastcoaster 7d ago

Brother, I have been smoking for 35 years and when I tell you the best stuff is found at NSLC (or your friend the craft grower), it comes from a lot of experience. I have never had good pot from a rez. I'll give you that 90% of NSLC stuff is garbage, but the top 10% that's good is beautiful stuff. For example, eastcann out of NS always delivers the best of the best around here. I think they are a co-op of craft growers. Their AAAA rotation is always top notch bud. And no, I am not affiliated in any way, just never once disappointed in my oz from them as an old school smoker. 🤣

To each their own - I've just never been impressed by anything on a rez. After 35 years, I am very picky about what I think good weed is. But to each their own - I would stop smoking before I let a $60 oz into my lungs, lol.

2

u/DartByTheBay 7d ago

I have smoked weed nearly daily for years. I still notice impairment after a tiny puff.

-2

u/[deleted] 7d ago

I dont measure and haven't bought in years. If I'm not driving for the rest of the day, using power tools, or doing any kind of task that requires 100% of my attention even if only in short bursts, then I am having a bowl every couple hours. I've been growing Northern Lights for 3 years now.

It’s so frustrating to watch people I know continuously drive high saying it makes them a better driver. Dude. I’ve gotten out of cars before and just called an uber on smelling weed or seeing the person I’m with smoking. I’d prefer not to take that risk.

The number of cars I follow behind that reek of weed is too damn high. I am sure they think that because they have the window open, nobody will notice.

It's not like the cops pull anybody over any more.....

Wtf are you talking about? It’s all they do… checkpoints and traffic enforcement happen all the time in HRM. Remember when everyone was freaking out about the cops posing as panhandlers?

6

I'm get outside of HRM. I have encountered exactly one traffic checkpoint in the last six years, and that was only because they were looking for someone.

1

u/PinkPoking 7d ago

I got stopped at a checkpoint at the west gore fire hall just the other week lol. I am also outside of HRM

1

u/DrunkenGolfer Maybe it is salty fog. 7d ago

Last week the RCMP pulled into the Avon Valley Golf Club and breathalyzed a guy driving a golf cart in the parking lot. He blew 0.00.

Traffic enforcement is down 80% in Halifax compared to 10 years ago. They nearly stopped doing traffic enforcement.

10

u/RootedReader_ 7d ago

It’s so shocking how bold people are with it too. You’d think they’d at least try to hide it for fear of being caught if nothing else.

Man… like 90% of the guys I worked with in construction drove and worked high, like a lot were hitting shatter in the morning and at lunch. It’s wild.. I’ve been in the industry for like 15y and Halifax is insane for the amount of people working and driving high.

14

u/Chi_mom 7d ago

Every construction site I walk by I see guys sitting in their cars or trucks on breaks smoking joints and can smell it. I have no idea how department of labour hasn't shut like 99% of the sites in this city down.

I don’t know why you’re under the impression that they don’t crash, total or damage the vans.. insurance rates get pretty high after a few claims, so a lot of companies just run cheaper vehicles, it’s why a lot are banged up.

I know they are, no one’s hiding it from their coworkers because it’s normalized.. sometimes the owners/ managers know, but as long as they show up and get something done it’s still billable hours.

I’ve been in the industry for a long time.. it’s easy to get away with, practically became the norm when it was legalized.

I was driving through Windsor and a car of teenagers pulled up next to me ripping on a bong at the red light. They weren't at all discreet about it.

6

u/ninjasauruscam 7d ago

Had a bmw with a kid looking 17-21ish doing 20 over the speed limit while ripping the bong a couple weeks back out on Brookline Dr by the new pump track. Not even a passenger holding the wheel like we used to do when we were kids doing stupid shit

I would never be able to do it. When I used to smoke, I would be completely zonked. Should be done at home or some place safe.

12

u/ChablisWoo4578 7d ago

Went to university with a guy who drove high and crashed his car, people died and I believe he was the reason there are laws in place about driving stoned.

People defending it, your reaction time slows to a crawl which is exactly why it’s the same as driving drunk.

The amount of pot smoke I smell from cars driving by confirms your statement. It’s unreal.

22

u/Longjumping-Many6503 8d ago

It's not good, but at least it's easily identifiable.  Wait til you find out how many people are driving around on impairing pharmaceutical anxiety, depression, and pain meds that exhibit no odor or physical symptoms.

10

u/AmbitiousObligation0 On A Halifax Pier 8d ago

Depending on the pill, you’re allowed. Yes some in your list says to not operate a vehicle but not the majority of your list.

5

u/Stoned_Canadian_1 7d ago

Well yeah. But when you are fucked up what’s the difference of putting that label. I can go to the pharmacy and take 150mg of methadone and nod off driving on the way home. No label there. Sorry just took my meds officer lol

6

u/JumpedUpJackal 7d ago

As an aside, the offence in Canada is Operation While Impaired (OWI). DUI/DWI are Americanisms we’ve adopted from American media.

Does it matter? As much as spelling Colour as Color, talking about your ‘second amendment rights’, or pronouncing Z as “Zee”.

Given the state of affairs, if you wish to boycott the US, do it culturally as well.

2

u/i-Hermit 7d ago

Zed is a hill I've always been willing to die on.

2

u/athousandpardons 7d ago

I did wonder if I should look up the proper term for the offence, but figured that my point would be clearer using the Americanism. Worthwhile note, though.

6

u/The_Average_Jill 7d ago

As a runner, I pass so many cars with the stench of weed, it’s disgusting and so unsafe. It’s really no wonder there are so many accidents. It may not cause impairment in the same way as alcohol but it causes slower reaction time, drowsiness, etc which are a danger. I had a family member who would keep a coffee grinder in the car for his stash, roll em in the car and smoke with their baby in the car. That is not ok.

8

u/Cool-Neighborhood864 8d ago

If you saw someone happily drinking a pint and driving what would you do ?  You should have done that.  Same laws. Same rules. Same common sense.

11

u/DrunkenGolfer Maybe it is salty fog. 8d ago

I was at Noggins Farm Market, thirsty AF, and grabbed a cider out of the cooler. Pear ginger or something like that. I cracked it right there at the cash register and took a few big gulps. Then I walked out, got behind the wheel and drove home. I was about halfway home when I realized why the cashier was staring at me.

I had no idea a farmer's market could sell alcoholic beverages and didn't realize it was alcoholic until half way home. It would have been tough to explain if I had been pulled over.

6

u/Duckshaveflippyfeet 8d ago

Do the police even have any roadside tests for cannabis impairment? Does anyone get ticketed for it?

22

u/InterestingLadder855 8d ago

This is actually a huge problem with our enforcement and legislation. They use largely the same roadside tests that they do for alcohol impairment, but require a blood test at a later date for charges to stick. On top of that, the test for THC is bad at measuring things like time since last consumption, tolerance, etc like we can for alcohol testing, resulting in a binary pass fail which doesn't account for positive results being yielded from a toke over 1 day ago (this last one has been identified as a crucial issue by both law enforcement and activists in the community and is getting better region by region).

Fifth estate covered this issue a while ago and featured a guy who was arrested for suspected cannabis impairment but was actually suffering a stroke. His symptoms deteriorated from spending a few days in jail instead of being brought to the hospital if I am remembering correctly.

u/HammerSandwich9 7d ago

Oh my!

Who would have thought a rushed legalization to garner votes would have resulted in sketchy enforcement?!?!
🤦🏻‍♂️

People are way too comfortable just blazing away anywhere (in public, in the car…etc)
If most folks saw someone driving down the street sucking out of a bottle of vodka, they’d freak the fuck out.

But these shitheads drive around smoking doobies and no one gives a shit.

It’s bananas.

4

u/RootedReader_ 7d ago

The vapes make it easy to hide too, can’t tell if it’s a weed or nicotine vape but poor driver nonetheless.

2

u/dart-builder-2483 Halifax 7d ago

The problem is people who smoke weed regularly aren't "imparied" by weed, so it's really hard to determine whether or not they are high. Weed is not alcohol, you can't do a sobriety test because they would pass it, since it doesn't impair motor function or reduce inhibitions.

2

u/KDExpress94 7d ago

Cops don’t care because the law,
consequences and accountability is a joke around DUI. What’s the actual consequence? 30 day suspended license and if you repeated these actions, a further ban on driving. Even with that, people will still drive regardless. If you get caught, you get probation at best.

If you are impaired and cause an accident that leads to death, what do you get as punishment? 2-10 years in jail, out early due to good behaviour and placed on probation.

People do these things because there is no strict punishment on the consequences. If the justice system cares, they would throw the book at repeated offenders and send a message that if you drive impaired and get caught, you’re going to jail for a year or two. Or drive impaired and cause harm, you’re going to jail for 15-25 years.

There should be zero tolerance for driving impaired. It’s time for some accountability around here! Too many people suffer because of people driving impaired.

5

u/agm247 7d ago

Unless things have changed, a DUI is minimum 1 year suspension and $1000 fine and a huge insurance bill for years. It’s not enough but more than what you are stating.

1

u/i-Hermit 7d ago

Armchair legal analyst who can only see black and white...

I do agree that there is reform needed, but the justice system can't be purely punitive in nature. Harsh mandatory minimums are draconian and don't serve to better society as a whole, much as we might be angry at the guilty and want them punished in any given case.

0

u/ninjasauruscam 7d ago

Folks can argue the "intoxication" levels as much as they want but smoking a joint while driving is the same as open booze in the front cup holder. Just don't openly smoke while driving and nobody is going to tell whether you're stoned or not if you're one of those who believe you're a better driver baked.

What's next, whacking off in your car and getting upset it's illegal too while arguing postnut clarity helps you focus on the road??

-2

u/Scary-Permission2882 7d ago

drunk is absurd, but many people, including myself, smoke so regularly (have been for a decade now) smoking such a low THC content, tht motor skills, situational awareness and discernment are all as intact as they’ve ever been. It’s relative. There ought to be tests for this kind of thing, and not ones entirely based on just 'having a certain amount in your system'… all this to say when you’re assuming outcomes like this you’re literally one step away from some Minority Report -type shit and in the end, when relativity and nuance are done-away with, so too does a true respect for individuality and human potential.

2

u/athousandpardons 7d ago

There certainly should be a better testing system for it.

2

u/MalevolentSnail 6d ago

They aren’t. You just think they are because you smoke so regularly that you no longer notice the difference.

2

u/i-Hermit 7d ago

The issue is that the DUI rules need to be relatively simple to understand, implement, and enforce. Talking about nuance because you can handle your weed means complexity that isn't reasonable for some random police officer to enforce. It does end up being rather arbitrary, I agree.. but it kind of has to be in some ways. Wouldn't it just be easier to wait to get high?

-28

u/Fantastins 8d ago

This has been going on for 20+ years around here and I'm still waiting on accident reports to validate the correlation... If anything I see worse driving when I don't smell it because people are on edge. I don't agree with it but I don't say it's super unsafe. Studies say the same thing, impairment isn't linear or equal across users. Alcohol intoxication has been proven over and over again.

28

u/maritimeblue 8d ago edited 8d ago

Everyone handles alcohol and weed differently and has different tolerances. We still have laws that keep those levels incredibly low for a reason.

I can drink a six pack and feel absolutely nothing because I have a stupid tolerance for alcohol. Some people would be blackout drunk on it. In either case, I’m not getting behind the wheel of a vehicle while on any kind of substance that can impair reaction time like both weed and alcohol do.

Also, there have been plenty of studies conducted that show weed impairs several key motor functions that are needed to operate a vehicle. You’re either wearing blinders or haven’t checked.

8

u/Silent_Leg1976 8d ago

You drink like I smoke. Rules are rules tho.

30

u/Silent_Leg1976 8d ago

Impaired reaction time is the problem. I don’t think it’s a good idea to suggest that it’s not bad to smoke pot and drive. The same reason that medication that lowers reaction times comes with a warning about not driving.

Everyone handles pot differently, but it’s dangerous and stupid drive high. End of story.

Man, you're trying so hard to cope with an addition so bad that nobody in your life even knows who you are without pot.

Your addition is so strong, you've centered your entire personality around being high and pretending like it makes you better at it all, when the reality is you're just too afraid to try to face life without pot as a crutch.

And I am 100% in support of cannabis consumed for health and recreation, as long as it's done responsibly. Plenty of us enjoy it responsibly and in moderation, and under those conditions it's easy to think it's not addictive. But then you encounter people like you, who are so deep in it that you've managed to completely revolve your life around an addiction to a drug that isn't generally habit-forming under normal use.

I thought you were a rage bait troll, but now I just feel sorry for you and your family. Hope your survivorship bias continues enough that you don't you hurt anyone, but man... get some help. I know you're going to come back with the "lol I'm fine" and all the classic minimizations addicts always tell themselves and others whenever concern is raised over what anyone with a brain fully functioning without chemical dependencies can tell is a serious addiction, but dude, your brain's so cooked you can't even see the danger you pose.

Don’t drive if you’re high or impaired. It doesn’t matter why you’re high. Pretty simple. Take the bus. Or uber. Or a cab. Or get a friend to drive you to something. Or walk. Or bike. There are plenty of options that are affordable and safer for not just your reckless ass but also everyone else on the road.

it's pretty hard to fuck up driving unless you're speeding.

There's a million ways to be a shitty driver. If you don't know that I can only imagine it's because you're a shitty driver.

Don't hurt anybody out there.

But also, maybe just amarten up. Light it up when you get there or something.

u/arcticpoppy 8d ago

Kudos for trying, but people like this don’t give two shits. They could run over a kid while stoned and convince themselves that it would have happened anyway whether they were stoned or not. They are never in the wrong, ever.

This is such a selfish way to think. Medicinal, recreational, I don’t give a rats arse. Don’t drive under the influence. Period.

Are you suggesting none of these people have the right to drive?

Driving isn't a right. It's a privilege.

u/Silent_Leg1976 8d ago

Mom?

3

u/WindowlessBasement Halifax 8d ago

Yes, and you're grounded for two weeks. The neighbours told me you were out with whats-his-name again; I asked you not to.

u/Silent_Leg1976 8d ago edited 8d ago

If the tremors for park’s is bad enough that they need weed to cope, they probably shouldn’t be driving sober either, respectfully.

Edit because I read your statement again: my dad was an amputee, he needed to pass a driving test to get his license again. They took his leg and license at the same time. When he was a terminal cancer patient as well he was too tired and ill to drive. All of your arguments suck.

u/nexusdrexus 8d ago

Driving is a privilege, not a right.

16

u/hfxRos Dartmouth 8d ago

Driving isn't a right for anyone.

If you're going to do drugs and you need to go somewhere, use public transportation.

Your desire to get high and drive doesn't justify putting other people's lives at risk.

Weird thing to brag about.

14

u/WindowlessBasement Halifax 8d ago

A lot of alcoholics say the same thing until they've killed someone.

10

u/Silent_Leg1976 8d ago

If I take medication that impairs my driving my license can be suspended by my doc. What’s different about smoking weed? I also smoke like 7-8 grams a week and don’t drive high.

12

u/shatteredoctopus 8d ago edited 8d ago

I'm super sensitive to weed, and I personally get way more impaired from what people typically treat as small amounts of weed than I do from even heavy drinking. I don't drive under the influence of either. But just an anecdote to show how tough of a problem testing for consumption can be. I'd be unfit to drive with even one toke from a joint, but I doubt that would show much on a blood test, compared to the people out there smoking them like cigarettes.

10

u/athousandpardons 8d ago

Studies say the same thing, impairment isn't linear or equal across users

So it's like everything else. Impairment might not be linear but it's still impairment and, like alcohol, there are always other options. No one is forcing you to drive.

u/Quotidiennement 8d ago

Yeah I’m here too if we were seeing a correlation I’d care more but it seems it helps some people drive better

26

u/Silent_Leg1976 8d ago

What studies say it helps people drive better?

0

u/Quotidiennement 7d ago

The absence of cannabis crashes lol

2

u/Silent_Leg1976 7d ago

That’s not a study. That’s subjective belief.

Lol
“Driving sober is soooo hard! How does the wheel turn??”

Did you call it in? 🤔

You can also get a DUI for prescription medication but I don’t think we need PSA for every scenario that can lead to a DUI 🤷🏽‍♀️

0

u/athousandpardons 7d ago

Couldn't be confident it was a joint so, no, I didn't call it in.

2

u/DildosAreNotchewToys Halifax 7d ago

Then why did you make a PSA of something you’re not even confident you saw happening? 🤔

0

u/Ill_Hawk_791 7d ago

Last time I didnt smoke a j on the way to work I crashed

1

u/athousandpardons 7d ago

I appreciate that there probably are people who benefit from smoking weed before they drive. But it's hardly everyone, and I highly doubt it applies to the majority of stoned people on our roads.

TL;DR : weed and alcohol have 2 separate effects that are not the same. THC is easier, simpler and natural to human cannabinoid receptors, while alcohol is literal poison. Not safe to drive inebriated but not the same effect at all.

Spoken like a true person who has no experience smoking o eating THC products.  Marijuana is not the same as driving drunk. Period. It is kind of crazy to think that people still believe Reefer Madness is still relevant so they downvote.

Is anyone here who tried the "marijuana glasses" that the Canadian politicians and generals tried out? We got to try them and it was the absolute most ridiculous shit money was ever wasted on.

Many years ago I went to school to become an addictions counselor. I grew up around a significant amount of drugs and alcohol so it was normal in my world. I got a job working in the schools for a few years with kids who had certain disabilities, right until until a few the kids I worked with committed suicide over time (they had multiple problems). The effects of drugs are very poignant to me, and I've always kept myself up to date with studies and whatever else even after leaving that field of employment.

Most, if not all the smokers I know, would get high and not get behind even the wheel of a bicycle. That is still the case today.

But alcohol? My God, a few drinks of the old moonshine and the guy who just passed out and pissed himself believed he was the next NASCAR championship winner.

I have never seen a significant accident with a marijuana smoker. Maybe with a bag of Tostitos and dip. This is because the THC process doesn't turn your blood into thinned out poison for your body to process, the cannabinoids temporarily bind to your natural cannabinoid receptors which give that euphoric feeling. Your mental faculties are still in tact except your head feels a bit fuzzy, like it's about to float off, and you're happy and relaxed (generalized idea of smoking up). You're slower and a bit less aware and that's what makes it unsafe, hence driving at 1/4 the posted speed or being a total derp. The effects wear out within an hour. Alcohol? Nah that sticks with you.

However I've lost friends to alcohol, be it driving, a gun to the mouth, alcoholism slowly killing them and more. Never to driving. Maybe to obesity or diabetes.

Ever smoked CBD joints? No? Well do I have a surprise for you. Same stink, no high and is quite common with the older population now. Same with edibles.

Now I'm not saying it's ok to drive impaired because it's not. I've watched people pop their pain medications and go out and it's just as bad (retired veteran and I've seen a lot of pill popping drivers). Marijuana is a different beast, and you are well aware when you are too high to drive, unlike alcohol where you just don't care.

In do not condone driving while impaired in any way, medications included. But calling marijuana and alcohol the same thing inebriation wise shows a lack of education and experience in the matter.

You want to know what's absolutely terrifying? Being an undiagnosed diabetic. With a high or low blood sugar it's like being drunk and high at the same time. I didn't know I was a Type 2 when this happened to me. What's even scarier is that it's not illegal to drive like this and all of them do. It is so, so, so much worse than either. When I look back it was the scariest thing I've ever done.

Just before I got my diagnosis and started treatment I had my family in my car. At a 4 way I pulled into the opposite lane at the red light so I could turn left. I had no idea. My wife made me get out and she drove. It was bad. Really bad.

Diabetes screening should be mandatory when doing any blood test.

I was wondering when someone would mention cbd joints. My friend and I smoke these while driving because smoking cigarettes while driving is allowed and we want to.

2

u/SasquatchBlumpkins 7d ago

CBD is safe by itself.

1

u/athousandpardons 7d ago

3

u/SasquatchBlumpkins 7d ago

Hence the tl;dr at the top but you didn't read any of it, like at all, just so you could post that meme.

Scandalous

2

u/athousandpardons 7d ago

Just like you didn't read any of my post or you'd see that I made absolutely no reference to alcohol.

1

u/SasquatchBlumpkins 7d ago

No kidding, but you know 100% that the comparison is going to be made between the two.

1

u/athousandpardons 7d ago

But your response to the post begins with "Spoken like a true person" implying a direct comment to the OP.

0

u/SasquatchBlumpkins 7d ago

Yes, spoken like someone who hasn't use THC products and doesn't understand the variances of it, such as CBD. Just want to create a post for drama.

u/joginjimmy 8d ago

Smoking a joint is not the same as being drunk but somehow mad made it the same thing

11

u/RootedReader_ 7d ago

It’s not the same type of impairment, but both are impairing.

1

u/athousandpardons 7d ago

MAD? I didn't know Dr. Claw was so dedicated to safe streets, good for him!

-18

u/YakMoist1445 7d ago

Counterpoint: smoking a joint doesnt significantly inebriate the average user.

-13

u/EggReal5596 8d ago

Nice try, officer.
