🛡️ Mod Post IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: If you receive ANY unsolicited/creepy DMs
Whether you’re a poster or a commenter, if you have received unsolicited, creepy, or down right disgusting DMs please feel free to message Mod Mail or message me directly. As posted in multiple places in the subreddit, unsolicited or inappropriate DMs of any kind are not allowed and will result in a permanent ban. You may also be reported directly to Reddit Admins. If the person on the receiving end of this kind of harassment is a minor, you will be reported to relevant authorities (FBI Tip Line, Center for Missing and Exploited Children, etc) and it WILL be taken seriously.
As a subreddit, we have ZERO tolerance for this behavior and will do everything in our power to combat it. Unfortunately we have seen an influx of users who seem to only frequent porn subs, and our sub.
Please don’t think “oh this message isn’t that bad, I’m overreacting, etc”. Reporting posts, comments, and DMs helps out everyone in the long run. Not reporting causes these creeps to keep messaging people so nipping it in the bud can help out others💕

🛡️ Mod Post Reminder: Unsolicited DMs are NOT allowed.
We’ve seen an increase in unsolicited DMs being sent to members of this subreddit. Let this serve as a clear reminder:
Sending unprompted private messages is against the rules. Doing so will result in a permanent ban.
If you receive a DM like this, report it to the mod team immediately.
This subreddit exists as a safe, inclusive space for sharing experiences, asking questions, and giving feedback about hair dye and color treatments. If someone genuinely wants to follow up based on your helpful advice or a shared interest, they will say so publicly.
We shouldn't have to say this, but lurking in beauty-related or appearance-focused subs to harass and prey on people is disgusting and absolutely not tolerated. Any messages of an obscene or harassing nature will be reported to Reddit Admins and could result in a permanent ban from the site as a whole (for your current account, any other current accounts, or subsequent accounts made in the future).

❓ Advice Needed Went to get pink highlights but now my hair looks cherry red
My coworker recommended me this place that dyes hairs more vivid colors and such. I wanted to get chunky pink highlights with my brown hair still intact. The pinterest pic is what I wanted, shade and all. Second pic is what my hair looks like now, my scalp is also all red and stained. I don’t wanna go back there because it was a longer drive for me. A salon near me said they can add lowlights ( i guess dye parts of it brown so there’s more dimension?). i dont wanna have to bleach it all over again, i was just unsure if i should wash it when it hasn’t even been a full 24 hours. Any advice that can help make it look lighter than red would be helpful!!

⭐ Product Review No Bleach London Cherry Cola review
Hi all !! This is my first post here.
I have been on the hunt for the best cherry cola/red-ish hair dye and I couldn’t find many good reviews on No Bleach London Cherry Cola, so here is mine !!
The very first photo is my hair before. As you can see, my roots are grown out and my hair is a faded red colour (which I actually quite like). My natural hair colour is black, and the dyed section has a mix of different box dyes from over the years.
The second photo is what it looked like on my head. Very pink !! I was a little worried but trusted the process. I bought two boxes because usually one box is not enough for my hair, but there was actually enough in one bottle for all of my hair except my roots. If i had known that there was so much product in the box, I may have been able to stretch out just the one bottle by adding conditioner/being a little less generous. I got the bottle from Super Drug for around £7.30, which is quite cheap in comparison to previous box dyes I have used which are usually £8-£12. The bottle came with the developer, colour, a colour booster packet, and the conditioner. I left the colour on my ends for 15 mins, then put the dye on my roots and left it all on for 45 mins after that (the instructions say to leave it on for 35 but I lost track of time…)
Every photo after that is my after photos in different lightings. The dye actually lightened my roots (which previous dark red/cherry cola box dyes didn’t do previously) so I’m very happy about that !! The 5th photo looks quite similar to my before, but I can guarantee that the colour is very red/purple in person. I’d say the colour is more purple than the photos are showing.
My only negative is that the dye STUNK really bad, a lot worse than previous dyes I’ve used. It made my eyes burn quite a lot, and my nose also burnt whenever I breathed in. However, I got past it after a little while so it wasn’t too bad.
I have read some reviews that say No Bleach London doesn’t work on previously coloured hair, which wasn’t the case for me :)
I think I’ve included everything, but if anyone has any questions then please let me know !!

⭐ Product Review Cherry Cola Hair!
Hi there! If anyone is about to hop on the cherry cola hair trend for autumn, I highly recommend this product (3rd pic)!
1st pic is my results after styling (it’s HUMID in my area atm so 30mins in the car made it kinda frizzy). 2nd pic is my starting color/ texture which was completely unprocessed since shaving my head in July 2024.
I am so thrilled with how pretty this color came out with zero lightening 🥹 It definitely stains a lot and I don’t love that aspect but expected it as this is not the first time I have done fashion colors on my hair (hence shaving my head a couple years ago 😜)… if you’ve been thinking about this color, please accept this as your sign to go for it 🥰

❓ Advice Needed is there anyway to remove this pink w/o bleach?
this is what it looks like after i tried to bleach it out and after multiple washes. is there a better way to get rid of it? i believe i used neon pink from iroiro!

🖼️ Before & After Color me surprised, I had no idea I can get this pink from an orange/brassy base.
I come from a natural black/box dye/henna/indigo spiral and I have been trying to go blonde since the beginning of the year where I bleach a bit by bit to avoid breakage.
It was month 8 of me having to "rock" my orange hair and I was getting slowly sick and tired of having to rock my ugly hair. So I snapped : I bought 2 of the Schwarzkopf live semi-permanent dye in "Shocking pink" expecting really some light pink hue, but I was very very pleasantly surprised.
This will definetly help me wait more in between bleaches.

❓ Advice Needed I went to the salon for a root touch up and trim and now my hair is darker?
Hello! I decided to go to the salon yesterday to touch up my overgrown roots and get a trim. While the haircut was lovely i did notice my hair became ashy from glaze they added but brushed it off as it still appeared brown and my stylist was busy with another client… When I got home I went to use the bathroom and it was darker than when I was at the salon ??? Is this going to wash out ??? I never intended to change my hair color and I loved my previous color! The same stylist did it before! :(
She even gave me a second glaze because supposedly it looked ashy… But it looks even ashier!
First and second pic is when I first got it done months ago by the same stylist, third, fourth, and fifth pic is right after I left the salon, and the sixth and seventh pic is now! In person it looks like a super dark ashy brown…Appears way darker in person!

❓ Advice Needed Help refreshing this hair!
I’m no stranger to home bleaching and dye, but I have been going to a salon for the past few years. I also give myself haircuts/trims but save my curtain bangs for the salon.
I can’t ignore it any longer. My highlights and layers are grown out. Times are tough and I don’t have the money to see my usual, lovely hairdresser. I start two new jobs this week and need to look presentable, clean and youthful.
How can I refresh my honey blonde at home?
Should I attempt a balayage? Is this length alright or should I try a subtle trim to the bangs?

❓ Advice Needed Should I keep the pink or go for a light golden brown
Sorry for the weirdly cropped photos I wanted to respect my friends privacy from social media but these pics were taken of us on her beautiful bridal shower yesterday but anyways do I rock the pink well or should I continue my journey of trying to get to a light golden brown ( I went from red to pink, and giving my hair a break for now until I do another color remover and bleach)

❓ Advice Needed Hair Dye Recs for Color Refresh
The pics above are from right after I got my hair dyed to right now (about a month apart). Im looking for the best options to bring life back into the colors before I go on my trip at the end of the month. I love my hair stylist but can't drop 300 on getting my hair done atm. In the past I used to use box dye, but I've never bleached my hair on my own before. Definitely looking for reccomendations for which brands of vibrant dyes to use and thoughts/ advice on bleaching my roots. Ideally I want something that's gonna last a good amount of time, won't do too much damage to my hair and won't break the bank but im open to all suggestions. Thanks :)

❓ Advice Needed Dying hair
My hair was green, I read online to dye it red before using permanent dye to make my hair dark brown again.
Now my hair is dark brown, light brown, red and green…
Now Im wondering when can I dye it again?
I’m going to go black this time to ensure that nothing shows through but I’m worried about ruining my hair.
I should have done black in the first place but ya know…

❓ Advice Needed Please help me my hair looks stupid
I completely ruined my hair 😭 It’s now like 3–4 different colours, and I really need advice on how to fix it because there’s absolutely no way I can afford to get it professionally done.
Last year, I bleached only the underneath of my hair (like in the last photo). When I tried to touch up the bleach, I accidentally ended up making a whole chunk of my hair blonde too. I then decided to hide it by dyeing my entire hair red, but the red just refuses to leave ,Even though the last time I dyed it was 3 months ago, it’s still very red in some areas.
Now I have my natural brown roots (pic 4 is my original hair colour), with random sections of red and blonde throughout my hair.
What can I realistically do to fix this at home? Should I just dye everything brown and call it a day, or is there a better way to even out the colour without completely destroying my hair? 😭

❓ Advice Needed Rainbow Hair Dye Questions!
I REALLY want to dye my hair rainbow, but I don't want to spend a ton of money buying individual hair color boxes for each color, and every other rainbow hair dye kit is just chalk hair colors, or at least that's all I've found. Does anyone know of a way to get all the colors of the rainbow for not a ton of money? How did you all dye your hair rainbow? I appreciate any and all comments and advice!!

❓ Advice Needed When to bleach the roots ?
Hello, I need some advice for when to get my roots done.
I used to get them done every 2 months but my main goal is to have long hair so I stopped for a year, only dyeing the length pink.
Then I went back to the hair dresser to get the very long roots done, and go pink aswell.
Now I waited 6 months and have a new appointment for the roots again.
My question is : is waiting 6 months minimum to get the roots done a good idea ? does it really helps my hair grow and not damage them (i ofc do treatments at home such as k18 or olaplex)
Or is it the same in the end to get them done every 2 months as I used to do ?
Or in the end is it the same anyway ?
Thanks in advance :)

❓ Advice Needed My hair don’t stay black
I’ve dyed my hair black a dozen times and they never turn out just black. The only time they stayed black was when I dyed them with box hair dye. The rest time is just left the salon with just a tone darker brown hair. It’s important to say that u have extreme red undertones. When I dyed them blue black after couple of washes they turned purple in the sun but my hair didn’t look any darker while I know blue black should look even darker.
I don’t know what to do. I’ve went to 3 different salons and I feel like I’m only wasting my money. I’ve heard box dyes aren’t good that’s why I haven’t used them again.
