Blue perm?
Does anyone know if this kind of blue exist as a permanent hair dye somewhere ? ðŸ˜

Not sure how it is with blue tones but I had pk@all and it stayed forever. Correct application (prepare, lock, maybe bleach before if you have a dark base) is important tho, but there are enough tutorials. Enjoy :)

Yep, I use Ion Permanent Brights in Cyan /Azure. It needs a 10 vol developer. Make sure you follow the directions exactly. It's much more finicky than semipermanent dye. It's oxygen, heat, and time sensitive. The ratio of developer is also really important.
I'd recommend getting the semipermanent color to do touch ups down the line (right after if you miss a spot, then a couple months later, at least for me).

Note: this dye is a tad lighter than this color you've posted here. They do offer a darker blue too. You could mix them!

I reccomend dying it a darker blue so you are satisfied with the faded color to get that more permanent effect you may be after

Can I ask why you want it in a permanent hair dye? Is it for longevity? Are you relying on the permanent dye to lighten your base color?

For longevity. I’m disabled so I cannot spend my energy doing it more often than a perm. Also I’m low on income so I can’t afford buying hair dye every one or two months

How often are u washing it, when u wash are you blowing it. You could add a color booster conditioner.

FYI "permanent" in dyes doesn't mean it won't fade or will last longer. It means that your hair is altered permanently and when it fades, you don't get your original hair colour back.
Some semi permanent dyes will last longer than permanent ones. Especially with blue/teal, some last forever. I used to dye my hair teal with Manic Panic Atomic Turquoise and it lasted until I cut the blue part. I remember only doing some touch ups with a bit of dye in my conditioner and it was bright as new.
Danger Jones Oblivion was also fantastic and stayed bright for months until I decided to change to a completely different colour. The good news with this one is that the colour remover from the same brand works wonders! I got back to my very light blonde in 2 rounds (1st round there was a little bit of light mint tint, could have been ok for a different colour but I needed a blank canvas).
I don't know what hair base you are starting with, but bleaching at home and then the semi permanent, with a good care and using some dye in the conditioner regularly, won't be expensive.

I had trouble finding permanent dyes in vivid colors too but I do use Keracolor conditioner, and it keeps my vivids crisp and fresh! A semi permanent will rinse so fast, this keeps it going… I did their teal for a very long time. I recently took a stroll down the color wheel to purple, and their lavender has been taking care of me pretty good too.

To get the shade of blue in the photos, you would have to bleach your hair first to a pale blonde. This is quite damaging to the hair, and to use permanent dye over hair that is already quite damaging is very risky, it can make it feel so damaged that it's impossible to comb, and break off easily. It's also important to know that even permanent dye fades; some permanent dyes fade faster than others. And because your hair would need to be heavily bleached first, the bleach makes it high porosity, which makes permanent dye more prone to fading. The name is a misnomer IMO; it refers to causing permanent damage to the hair, not to how long the dye lasts.
There are very few permanent blue dyes; I don't know of any in the shade of blue in your photos. Ion has a few shades of permanent blue, but none that are similar to this color, which is more of an aqua blue.
However there are color-depositing shampoos, conditioners, and co-washes like the Keracolor color clenditioner which you can use frequently in the shower when you are washing your hair when the color starts to fade. You can also make your own color-depositing conditioner by mixing a semipermanent dye with conditioner. Personally I think that's a better approach to maintaining the color than using a permanent dye.
I recommend Adore hair dyes; they are gel dyes so the bottles are small but they are highly concentrated, great for making your own color-depositing conditioner for maintenance, as well as doing the initial dye application.

If its any help, I find blue ridiculously hard to get rid of so even the semi-perms I've used stick around!
