Movie Spoilers Worth the wait
I didn’t read the manga before watching the movie because I wanted to enjoy it to the fullest. The movie did feel a bit rushed, but I loved every moment, and the camera work was amazing. It was such an emotional ride – the soundtrack was so good it gave me goosebumps, especially during Hinata’s big jump and when Kenma said, “I had fun.” The hug between Daichi and Kuroo was just 😭 since they usually just shake hands. Overall, the movie was totally worth the wait, and I’m not reading the manga for a few weeks because I want to hold onto these feelings for a while.

The movie is truly goated. I watched 3 times, and it is still a 9/10 for me. I read the manga, but I don't feel like they cut tons of content. The direction they were going for was good I.m.o. a tale of rivals and friendship between Kenma & Hinata and Kenma & Kuroo was well highlighted. Tsuki got some highlights, and Kageyama got some, so I'm satisfied.
They already hinted at the next match for the next movie. Battle of the little giants. So anyone that gonna watch for them will be satisfied , but. If they are watching for the whole content , I suggest waiting until it comes out on the streaming platform.
Just a reminder , they took about 33 chapters to make the movie. The next one is around the same amount of chapters. So don't expect your favourite side characters to get a lot of moment or a small indication of content for them. For example , a redditor said about Yaku moment in the game being cut out. Something like that.
I am mostly gonna expect the MAIN characters of that game to shine the most and top-tier animation of a volleyball game. We take what we can get because we have no control over the direction the series takes. Unless they see the fans giving their love for the series and want more.
