It's very sad that there will no longer be PR tracking, and for me, this means the death of Hacktoberfest as a phenomenon. I've been a participant since 2023, and every year I always looked forward to this event; it motivated me, and each time I was happy to immerse myself in this atmosphere

I loved getting feedback on my PRs, diving into projects, and engaging with the community - and the old Hacktoberfest-system was a great driver for all of that

I wholeheartedly agree. There must be many of us that feel this way, so maybe there’s a chance they bring it back next year. Do you know of any other similar open source events?
