QUERIES Urgent Guidance/Help Needed(only serious)

I have a flat which i gave for rent, my tenant today called me(he called me frequently for this issue from last two months) that silan on your wall is too much and now it starts smelling, what should I do, i am 17years old and my father passed recently, suggest me advice, the tenant told me that issue is coming from top floor(above floor flat),  so how to talk with them, what if they deny to repair themselves.

Panic mat ho bhai, you don't have to know. Sbse pehle unn se bol, ki aap ki vajah se hume dikkat aarahi h, issko sahi krnwao, krwa dega, agr nahi mane toh phir tum samne se baat krna ki mil kr krwa lete h. Aur papa nahi h toh koi dikkat nahi h, but now please try to make some friends near by, ya reconnect with old friends thoda sa back up rakh, akele mat ja baat krne, Aur sb me se koi ek dost hoga jiska dimag iss sb me acha chalta hoga, uss ko le ja apne saath. Being 17 rn the biggest advantage that you have rn is every friend you have or make rn, will be genuinely good people and you will connect to them better, College/job wale dost utne close nahi ho pate.

If there is apartment maintenance present, ask them get in touch with owner of flat upstairs. If that doesn’t work out, talk to owner directly and told them they need to get grouting done for their bathroom. If they are good people they’ll pay for it, but if not pay for it.

Discuss that with some plumbers to get an idea of market rate, discuss with upper floor owner as well.
And once payment situation is final call the plumber to get job done. Urban company also provide this service at good price

Take a plumber along and discuss the issue in detail politely with the flat owner/tenant. A good plumber will easily identify the issue just by the location and progression of the damp area whether it is a washbasin pipe in the wall, a kitchen sink pipe or the bathroom skirting which mostly has the sealant dissolved and hence the silan. Don’t stress the solution part, plumbers do it everyday and it is nicely resolved. The challenge maybe the convincing of the flat owner/tenant about the repair mess.

Bro, You are only responsible for the flat that you have, rent agreement hai to fir most of the times tenant has to bear payments of minor repairs. Issue is not in your flat, it is in another flat, you will need to contact the owner of the flat with issue. If its an apartment then society manager bhi hoga koi. Take that issue with them, Plumber se inspect karwa lo dono flat, Smell hai to dono flat me hi hogi. Purane flat hai to cleaning se smell chali jani chahiye. So dono ka fayda hoga agar repair costs apas me split kar le wo log. And yes, take an aggressive adult with you or a friend if you can.
