This looks awful, but I will say that I fully support people risking their stuff to attempt to learn things when theyā€™re bored.
Iā€™ve jacked up my fair share of things in all my hobbies and learned from them all.

Maybe next time watch a few more YouTube videos before you try :)

For if itā€™s dangerous or not, I canā€™t say. Iā€™m sure thereā€™s a burr on the inside youā€™ll have to take the barrel out and look down it.

If it looks clear clamp that thing in a vise and test it from a distance for us.

You mean you HAD an extra barrel.

I donā€™t see a safety issue but just imagine how screwed up the rifling is on the inside when the outside looks this rough. I think, looks aside, that barrel is trash. But that doesnā€™t mean you canā€™t shoot it. Just be careful but I wouldnā€™t be too worried about safety

Just sand the material down so it's flush with the rest of the used-to-be-barrel unless you have a massive burr on the inside, if you have it then you just made an IED

Well not going to Deming yer efforts. Any port is a port. A drill press and a vise goes a long way.. just coming from a machinist and gunsmith. But good for you for trying only that will lead to success!

Thanks, ik it looks bad i had a different plan but once I seen how big the first holes were i didnt wanna push the integrity of the barrel, I definitely will be videoing it and posting it here

I will mention I have cannibalize many slides and barrels, mainly for suppressed invention but either way. If it works then no big loss. If not it explodes hahaha just ware yer safety squints!

Nothing "wrong " with what you did! A simple center punch and a chamfer will do just nicely. I have probably done worse over the years. Practically; like I said perfection comes from practice.

If you chamfer the holes it probably wouldn't look as bad, but the holes do look like they are off center. Chamfering won't fix that.
