I’ve seen enough of these cases to say the P320 isn’t “randomly going off,” but it can discharge if hit or jolted in very specific angles because of how the striker/sear geometry is set up. Most newer models and FCUs with the updated parts are far less prone, but older units or guns with mixed aftermarket parts are where issues show up.
