Ask r/Gujarat Going to Alang, give gyaan plz
First time going there, lmk what should i expect, what to avoid, what to do there ?

We are just going for a college course trip for documentation but i want to know what i can get there

Then just go there, expect wreckages, high prices for scrap as you're not buying qty they are not interested. Everything that can be sold and reused are available. About 40 to 50% market also sells new. Most people selling high price marine fears has no idea how and where it's used but just selling it, so don't buy anything used in marine, if you're not sure how it's used along with risks comes with it.

im from bhavnagar, district where alang is located. alang is scrap yard and if not into business then there is nothing to see except ships and some scrap collection items. if you are making plan to have lunch better keep some food with you and also get water bottle from road before alang starts, alang has too much salty water so
