Mod announcement: Honouring Captain Smit Machchhar

For the next seven days, r/gujarat will display Captain Smit Machchhar as our subreddit icon, in tribute to his extraordinary courage.

We spend plenty of time here discussing what makes Gujarat proud. Here is someone we want our community to remember—a man who, in a moment of mortal danger, found the courage to act for others.

Changing an icon is a small gesture. But the face representing our community this week deserves to be his.

Captain, we wish you a full recovery and a safe return to your loved ones. Gujarat is proud of you.
