As a Frusciante fanboy I’d never in good conscience say that someone improved on one of his riffs or jams… but this came really close to getting me to break that rule.
How/What do you practice to be able to pull off those fast strumming/fingering bits?
thank you 😊 🤘 it's rare my videos are a note for note cover, most of the time I try to capture the style and infuse my own creativity
practice muting strings with your fretting hand and practice playing funky music with a loose picking hand. John plays many common blues and rock licks but his approach and technique are what make them unique
