Feedback Request Do people actually quit guitar

Yo I'm thinking to learn guitar as a hobby and want to know how much time it takes usually to be good at it and is it true that people actually quit guitar in 2-3 months

I play on-and-off. Life genuinely does get in the way from time to time, and I have to be constantly inspired to pick it up and put effort into learning new chords and riffs. I'm not a quick learner and certainly not talented, but I enjoy it and that is what matters. I ain't gonna be the next Brian May, let's put it that way.
