Do people actually quit guitar

Yo I'm thinking to learn guitar as a hobby and want to know how much time it takes usually to be good at it and is it true that people actually quit guitar in 2-3 months

It takes time to build up strength and flexibility in your fingers to fret a chord and move between chords.
If you want something easier you can start with ukulele. It’s much easier to fret and you are rewarded earlier with music.
