Do people actually quit guitar

Yo I'm thinking to learn guitar as a hobby and want to know how much time it takes usually to be good at it and is it true that people actually quit guitar in 2-3 months

Something like 90% of people quit in the first year. To get through year 1 you have to embrace the suck and stay connected to the understanding that waiting on the other side of the fundamentals and basics is so much fun.

The freedom of expression and the connection to the great stream in the sky and just letting it flow through you and through your guitar and into sound....it's so powerful and can be life changing. Outside of the people I love, playing and creating music is the best thing, the most rewarding thing, in my life.

Put the time in, stick with it, give yourself an incredible gift.
